More pictures of the girls

I promised in a recent post that I would add some new pictures of my girls for you all to see. We were outside playing in the backyard the other night and I got some cute ones that I will share with you. They are all starting to look so much older. It's incredible how quickly time passes.

I got tagged again

Yes, I got tagged. This time it was by my sister, Ellie, who lives in Colorado. We went to visit her and her little family last month and had a great time. We drove all that way and this is how she repays me? Just kidding. It's kinda fun. We'll see if anyone responds to this since most of the people who might read this are my scrapbooking friends that I have "met" online at AC Bailey and other places. Here are the rules anyway:

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember. This can be about me, or any related memory of my family....

2. Next, repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Ok, all 3 readers of my blog (ha ha) please post something here and you will make my day. And maybe later I'll show you some cute recent pictures of my kids.

my baby girl

As Matt would say, she's officially been out of me longer than she was in me. Yes, my little baby girl is nine months old already. I can't believe it. She's such a sweetheart, so mellow and happy pretty much all of the time. She puts up with her sisters' abuse and crazy antics and smiles through it all. She finally cut her first tooth last week- I was starting to wonder if she'd ever get any teeth. She loves to sit up and play and loves to be with her mom and dad. She had her first introduction with bubbles today and couldn't get enough. We love our baby girl!

cute little cards

As part of my "job" on the design team at AC Bailey I am supposed to help come up with ideas for the consultants to use at classes, crops, etc. Here is a set of simple 4 x 4 cards I made using the Basic Grey Sugared collection, All Occasion stamps by Hampton Arts and some American Crafts buttons, ribbon and brads, and Prima flowers. Cute, huh? And they only took about a half hour to make. Total. I love making cards!!!

a fun little discovery

I was working on a layout for Lisa's challenge during our little CHA mini-crop at AC Bailey this weekend and found a fun new technique (new to me, maybe not to some of you) quite by mistake. You see, the chipboard I was using got bent while I was taking it off of the sheet it was on, so the ink I used to cover it was darker in some spots, and it looked SO COOL, and was a great effect to go with the papers I was using. So, instead of starting over with a new piece, I bent it some more. And some more. I love that it looks kinda like worn leather. Here it is on a layout I made about Hailey.

one page for me

I had high hopes of getting lots of CHA crop challenges done at AC Bailey and My Scrapbook Nook done this weekend but all I have managed is one layout so far for AC Bailey's Jennifer's texture challenge. The picture is one I took of Hailey a few days ago...love that she was willing to smile for the camera- usually all I get is this forced cheesy grin. Anyway, for the challenge we had to use at least 3 different textures on our layout and mine are: rough-burlap zigzag trim, spongy-foam Thickers, soft-velvet flowers, bumpy-corrugated paper, hard-brads, buttons and rhinestone swirl. Fun challenge and here is the outcome:

new scrapbook pages

I haven't gotten to scrap much lately but thought I would share these with you:

CHA mini-crop at AC Bailey

Yes, this weekend is the Craft and Hobby Association's winter show, the time when all of the scrapbooking manufacturers get together to show off their new products ready for release. At AC Bailey we have been drooling over the fun and beautiful new things and are celebrating the event with a mini-crop this Saturday and Sunday. Come join in the fun!

Erica, Gail and Jessica from AC Bailey will be attending CHA and have lots of pictures of new product to share with us, too!!!

a little card sketch for you

Summer Camp is in full swing at AC Bailey. We've had some fun challenges already from other members of the Design Team, and today it's my turn. I signed up for this sketch challenge because I knew that it would pull me out of my comfort zone. Sure, I've done some sketches when working on a layout, but never anything major and definitely nothing on made on the computer. I don't have Photoshop, but check out the beauty I made using Microsoft Word!!! I never knew that program could do so much. Watch out Becky Higgins and Becky Fleck, and all those other fab sketch ladies! Just kidding.

If you'd like to participate in the fun of Summer Camp, just head over to AC Bailey and sign-up any time. We'd love to have you!!!

Our Texas Born Beauty

Matt is so proud! He finally has a native Texan for a daughter. You see, our other two girls were born in Boise, Idaho. Matt grew up in Texas some, and while he doesn't have a Texas accent, it used to come out pretty strongly whenever he bragged about his favorite state. Here is a page I made about Aimee using the AC Bailey July kit. Cute, isn't she?

scrapping withdrawals

Yes...I am going through them. Until yesterday I had gone 3 days without so much as stepping foot inside my scrap room. Things have been a little crazy at our house the last week. Our little 2 1/2 year old has been going through quite an ordeal. The "terrible twos" are becoming more terrible as we go along. It felt so good to just sit down and make a couple cards and a quick layout. The page is for a chain scraplift, so I can't post it yet, but at least I got to do something- finally.

A couple more scrapbook pages

I have been on quite a scrapping roll the last couple of days- 5 pages done in two days? That's amazing for me, especially with three kids at home. Here you go: two more pages that I haven't posted yet for your viewing enjoyment. One is of Hailey during her swim lessons last month and the other has some cute pics of Hailey and Sarah from this weekend in Colorado.

We are a happy family

While in Denver over the weekend we were able to get some great pictures, including a new one of our whole family. Here it is in a layout I put together this afternoon.

AC Bailey July Kit

Yes, I am a little slow at posting this, but here you go: the July Kit of the Month from AC Bailey. Included in this kit are beautiful papers from My Mind's Eye and Jenni Bowlin, some Jenni Bowlin chipboard butterflies, felt buttons and tickets, a Making Memories journal book, some misc. ribbon and some transparencies and die-cuts. It's perfect for those 4th of July pictures, but also great for anything else you might want to scrapbook. That's what I love about the kits...no matter the theme of the kits, the products are versatile and great for pages or cards or whatever project you might have in mind. Here's a look of what you get. Grab it fast before they're gone, and take a look around the store for some of the other great new products.

a child's prayer

As is the practice and part of the bedtime routine at our house, last night I was having prayers with little Sarah, my 2 1/2 year old before tucking her in. Sometimes she will repeat what we help her say, but last night she had a few things she wanted to say with no assistance from me. We began the prayer with "Dear Heavenly Father, I thank thee for..." to which she said "my gymnastics class, school buses and goldfish." Cute, huh? Sweet girl. She knows that she can thankful for everything. I am sure thankful for that reminder.

American Crafts and some cute cousins

Hailey and Sarah had so much fun playing with their cousins Kerrie and Emily Malsbary this last weekend! The drive to Colorado was along and eventful one but well worth the memories made while we visited. Here is a page I made with the 4 cousins using the American Crafts Spring and Summer collection papers, ribbon and foam shapes.

A little Pink Paislee

When I saw the CHA sneak peeks of this Pink Paislee Spring Fling collection I new I had to have some when it came out. I've been hoarding it, wanting to use it with just the right picture. We went to Colorado to visit my sister, Ellie, for a few days and on Sunday we went over to the Denver LDS temple to walk around and take some pics of the beautiful surroundings. When I saw this picture of Sarah I knew that the Pink Paislee paper would be perfect. So, here you go:

Looks like we're back in business!

Hooray!!! That was so wierd...

strangeness

I haven't touched my blog in days...we've been out of town, and I come back and it's all hokey. I figured out how to fix the text but my cute template that was on here isn't showing up either, even though it's still listed on my layout page. So wierd.

help!

Can you see my posts? I hope it's just me. I have checked this blog a few times today and all I can see are the subject titles and the pictures, but no text. So wierd. Please let me know if it looks normal to you.
