it's been so long

Yes, it's been so long since I've visited my lonely blog. We've been so sick at our house for more than a week, with the horrible stomach bug going through the entire family before starting over again. I think we have a handle on it finally, thanks to lots of cleaning and a can of Lysol. But, now my blog is in need of a little TLC. Because of being sick I haven't done as much scrapping, but here are a few layouts that I've done recently.

Way too much fun

One of things that I love about being on the design team at AC Bailey is getting to try out so many fun new products. Erica has been working hard to put together the new Fall/Winter catalog and it will be available the beginning of October. Along with all of the wonderful products in that catalog are some NEW things that will be featured in a separate catalog. Great new project kits- acrylics and wood, etc. sold completely customizable with the alteralble item and the papers, embellishments, instructions, etc. needed to complete the project. The design team members and I, along with some of the other AC Bailey consultants, have been working like busy bees to get these project demos ready in time for the catalog deadline.

To help get things ready for the new project kit catalog I have been working on some fun things of my own. Here is a little teaser for one of the acrylic albums I am doing.

Stay tuned for more, and please check back tomorrow for my September AC Bailey design team assignments. Have a wonderful day!

Silly Daddy

I love Matt. He's a great husband and father and is always willing to jump in when I need some extra help or a little break from the crazy life of being a mother of three little girls. He comes up with some pretty silly things to keep the girls entertained as you can see here:

Pink Paislee Vintage Moon

Because I have three little girls I don't often scrap pages using blue, but I love this new paper by Pink Paislee and thought it would go so perfectly with these pictures from our Washington trip. All of the supplies are from My Scrapbook Nook's September kit- Pink Paislee paper, stickers and chipboard as well as Chatterbox Artsy.licious embellishments in kohl and some beautiful ribbons.

For these pages I also got to play with my Fiskars Threading Water scallop punch- love it!!! Anyway, here they are:

AC Bailey September Kit layout- Calm

One of the highlights of our trip to Washington was being able to go to the beach. This was Aimee's first experience and she loved to feel the sand on her little toes. This page uses the AC Bailey September kit of the month. I love those Hambly transparencies! They add such a beautiful touch to the picture of Aimee and I. Traditionally I would put the title in a different spot, but nowhere else felt quite right. I cut the flowers from one of the sheets of Kaisercraft paper and voila!

September kit from AC Bailey

I am a couple days late posting this, but here it is. I made a layout last night using this kit and will try to get that posted up here later today. The papers in this kit by Kaisercraft and Daisy D's have beautiful fall colors and the embellishments (felt flowers, velvet ribbon, Hambly transparencies, buttons) are so fun!

Hailey's first day of preschool

Yes, it was an emotional time. Not for Hailey, but for me. Actually, I think I got all of the almost-tears out yesterday. I was talking to Hailey about preschool and told her that we would miss her while she was gone, and it made me a little bit sad just thinking about it. She smartly replied, "But I am going to have a wonderful time, Mommy." And of course she was right. She would have a wonderful time and would make lots of new friends, learn new things and it would be a great way to get her warmed up for starting kindergarten next year.

So, here she is...all decked out in her preschool t-shirt that she gets to wear the first Tuesday of each month, with her flowery backpack and Disney Princess lunch box. She was SO very excited. And, she wanted to make sure and wear her pink sparkly belt for the big day. Of course! The second picture is outside of her preschool class excitedly (I promise that she really was!) pointing to her name on the wall.

I asked her teacher how things went on the first day and she remarked that she was quiet but interacted well with those in the class. I knew it was a success when she just couldn't stop talking about all of the fun things that she got to do during the day. Our little Hailey is growing up...and there's nothing we can do about it. I am so proud of her!

a few new pages

I haven't posted any new layouts for a little while again, so here are a few recent ones I've put together. The "fun is good" page is one that I made to try for a guest spot at scrapbooks.com using the lovely May kit from AC Bailey. Cute, huh? The one of Matt and Hailey uses a Sassafras Lass magazine insert and the other uses a little Basic Grey Sugared collection product with pics from Hailey's birthday.
