Do you remember this kit that I told you about?
Well, it just arrived a few minutes ago and I need to spend some quality time with it in my scrap room ♥
I wish... there's so much going on right now and I have an activity at the church tonight so I'll have to see what I can do tomorrow but it was a nice idea. Maybe later tonight since I don't know if I can wait until tomorrow!
p.s. you can start watching for my work on the Jillibean Soup blog starting tomorrow!

a card for you today
For a quick post today I thought I'd share a card that I made using the new Pink Paislee artisan paper tape and papers from the Bayberry Cottage collection.
Here I used both the bayberry and lime tapes and a sticker sentiment from SRM Stickers.
Have a nice day!

more Color Me Daisy sneaks
The April kit from Color Me Daisy will debut soon and I have had so much fun preparing my projects as guest designer for this kit. Thanks again, Michelle, for this opportunity. The colors and patterns mix so well and the kit is full of so many fun embellishments.
Just to tide you over until the reveal on April 5th and to get you excited to buy your very own kit, here are a few more sneaks!

Crafting with Cosmo week at SRM Stickers
We had the wonderful opportunity this month to team up with Cosmo Cricket for our "Crafting with Cosmo" week at SRM Stickers. Since Cosmo is one of my all-time favorite companies I was so excited! Each member of the design team received a different Cosmo line to work with and every day this week the SRM blog will feature projects made with Cosmo and SRM stickers. I got to play with the new "Material Girl" paper line with coordinating chipboard and tiny type stickers. Here is what I have created so far:
This is my little Aimee. It was a beautiful day last fall and a wonderful day for a walk in the park. I love the cute little chipboard accents that come with each Cosmo collection. The little "too cute", "my girl", "bee happy" phrases are SRM Stickers. Too cute!
And some little cards:
Make sure to check the SRM Stickers blog each day this week for more Cosmo Cricket/SRM Stickers projects. Have a wonderful Monday!
p.s. How about something cool? Cosmo Cricket featured a bunch of our SRM projects on their blog today:

quick card for SRM
I made this card for SRM Stickers a while ago and thought I'd go ahead and share it with you.
For this card I used some Basic Grey Lemonade collection from an older Nook kit along with the "Welcome Baby" sticker from SRM. Oh, that cute little daisy is from SRM, too. I love how these stickers make cards so quick and easy to do. I am having so much fun with them!!! I also used my handy EK Success flower punch again on this one. It seems to be my go-to flower punch these days. I wrinkled the paper before punching the flowers to give the card a little extra dimension. The border punch is the Fiskars Apron Lace one.

Happy Birthday to Matt!
Yes, today is the day we've been waiting for for a long time...
The girls know that once their Daddy's birthday gets here Easter is that much closer. At least that's what they keep telling us. I know they're excited because it's his birthday and not just because of the upcoming candy fest.
Today my sweet husband turns 35 and I hope that it's a wonderful day for him.
I still remember back when we were just getting to know each other and he had such a fun, carefree way about him and even now he can make me laugh (granted some of his jokes have become a bit more corny) and smile because of his silly ways.
He's a wonderful husband and provider for our family, is hard-working and kind, an amazing Dad who takes time to give his girls piggy back rides even when he'd rather be taking a nap. He is dedicated in his church work, always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.
I am so grateful to have him in my life.
Happy birthday, sweetheart.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

a quick card for the Nook
Yes, it's the middle of the night and I am up...I think that pizza did me in. It was yummy pepperoni stuffed crust that Matt had leftover from work the other day but my stomach is not feeling so good...so here I am.
While I'm here I might as well post something new, right?
Here's a card that I made using the March kit from My Scrapbook Nook:

I have some other projects in the works and can't wait until I can share those with you. Yep, some "secret" stuff for Jillibean Soup and for my guest spot with Color Me Daisy. ♥

I can spill some Color Me Daisy beans...
I loved being a part of the design team at Color Me Daisy. The owner, Michelle, has a knack for putting together gorgeous kits that are a great mix of manufacturers but that go together perfectly. I was sad to hear the news in February that they were changing the kit club format, and that there would no longer be a design team but was excited about the new every-other-month kits in the future and the possibility of guest designing with one of those kits.
Well...I had no idea I'd get to be the first guest designer! When I got the email from Michelle I was beyond excited, and even more so when I found out what the kit contents were. Since I've been given the ok I will share with you some April kit, "Spring Fever" sneaks. You are just going to love this kit as much as I do. I got to play with it yesterday and already have two projects done that I'll share with you soon.
Here are some kit sneaks- doesn't it just make you happy?

Did you notice the new Jillibean Soup white corrugated alphas?
I was so stoked about those being in the kit!
Also included in the kit is some lovely brand new Pink Paislee, Basic Grey and Jillibean Soup! Michelle always includes some handmade tags, too, and lots and lots of buttons.
Don't you love the new Jenni Bowlin butterflies? I do.
Stay tuned for the full reveal at Color Me Daisy on April 5!
I'll share some project sneaks with you soon, too.

another March kit project
I am just loving the colors in the March kit from My Scrapbook Nook featuring Pink Paislee's Bayberry Cottage line.
This page is one I've wanted to do for a long time, the pictures are a year old and I finally have the perfect papers to scrap them, so here's Sarah and her crazy hair.

I used another one of those clear border stickers and some cork buttons on this page (both add-ons)
and one of my flower punches for the blue flower and then stuck the Jenni Bowlin pins through the cork.
I hand-cut the purple strip from patterned paper, the butterflies were made using my Martha Stewart punch and the green houndstooth is from the ribbon pleat packaging.
Have a wonderful rest of your weekend and I'll see ya on Monday!

SRM Stickers, Card Patterns and some more Jillibean Soup
Being on the team at SRM Stickers has so far been so much fun! Jen and Helen are a dream to work for and Jen is so organized, always setting up fun collaborations for us. This time around we got to play with Sketch #56 for the Card Patterns blog where Nina, our fellow SRM design team member is on the team. Only a few SRM design team member cards were featured on the Card Patterns blog so I thought I'd go ahead and share mine here.
First off, here's the fun sketch that we got to use:

My Scrapbook Nook March kit layout
I stayed up way too late last night and put together most of one layout and then did another today- the colors in this kit are so beautiful- the rich jewel tones so very lovely ♥

I used some of the add-on punchouts on this layout and the little "happiness" one was perfect to go with these pictures of Aimee. Isn't she adorable?!

I also used the add-on Bayberry Cottage stickers along the edge of the artisan tape (which I pleated on both ends) and some of the lovely lace trim.
I'll have another layout to share with you in the morning but for now...time to go to sleep.
If you'd like one of these kits, hurry on over to My Scrapbook Nook before they're gone! You can purchase one here: http://stores.myscrapbooknook.com/-strse-Kits-cln-Feature-Kit/Categories.bok
p.s. isn't it funny that my blog colors right now match this kit? It was completely unplanned, too.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and a Jillibean Soup sketch
Are you celebrating today?
We like to do fun things like making green eggs (though everyone looks at them funny and pokes around at them a while before having a bite), green waffles, etc. My 5 year old has been excited about this day for weeks, planning her outfit, making sure to remind everyone to wear green. I even made sure that Matt wore a green tie to work so that Hailey can't pinch him when he gets home.
I made a little card and a while later after I have some better light I'll take a picture and add it to this post.
For now, here's a layout I made from the latest Jillibean Soup sketch:
You can see the details of the contest here: http://jillibeansoup.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/03/free-for-all-friday-lets-try-a-sketch.html
As you can see, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the left. I used the new Old World Cabbage Stew line for this with a mix of a few other Jillibean things. Isn't their stuff so cute?! I can't wait to see who makes the new design team list on Friday.
Oh, one more thing before I go make some green waffles- don't forget to check my giveaway post here http://onescrappinmama.blogspot.com/2010/03/woohoo-how-about-little-giveaway.html and leave a comment for a chance at some fun scrappy supplies. You have until midnight Friday EST.
Have a great day!!

woohoo- how about a little giveaway?
It's kinda funny that I'm doing this post considering that my friend, Leah Killian will soon have her millionth visitor to HER blog and I am excited about having 20,000 at mine. Yeah, I have some catching up to do but for me to have that many visitors on my little blog is a pretty cool thing to me.
So, how about a giveaway!!!
I haven't done one in a while so to thank my sweet, loyal readers I'll put something together.
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and tell me what is making you happy today and what colors you love to scrapbook with lately. If you don't scrap, just tell me what colors you like the best.
How's that?
I'll leave this open until Friday night midnight EST and then I'll randomly choose a winner for some fun scrappy things.
Have a great day!!!
p.s. the Jillibean Soup deadline was last night...now the waiting begins. You know, I would LOVE to be on THAT team, not just any team, but don't want to get my hopes up. I was excited this morning, though, to see that they're checking out our work now and the wonderful Jill left me a comment. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!! And, good luck to those of you who are trying for the team, too.

Jillibean Soup Staples
I took this picture of Aimee a week or so ago and knew that the bright colors in Aimee's little clown wig would be perfectly scrapped with some of the primary colors in the Jillibean Soup Staples collection. I simply made a bunch of ruffles and layered them and the rest is pretty easy. I scrunched up the orange ribbon and did some handstitching and used some of the cute new green corrugated alphas and letter stickers to finish it off.
Tomorrow is the deadline for the design team call at Jillibean Soup- good luck, everyone!
Have a great rest of your weekend. Our family is here from Houston now so we're going to go play!!

super quick card today
I am just sharing a super-quick card today. Sundays are busy days at our house because of getting ready for church, going to church and spending time with family.
I like to make quick cards, and this is probably the fastest card I've ever made. I simply used a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 base, trimmed some My Mind's Eye paper to fit, inked the edges, did some faux stitching and slapped on the Sassafras sticker and a bow. I really like that little smiley cloud!
Have a great day, everyone!!

a quick share this morning
We are heading over to the church in a bit to babysit for a little while so I have to make this nice and fast but I wanted to make sure and share something with you today.
This layout is one that I submitted for publication and it wasn't chosen so I decided to go ahead and post it here. These pictures were from our most recent trip to visit family in Houston. They have three boys and we have three girls and all of the kids ♥LOVE♥ to play dress-up. Much to my girls' glee, their boy cousins had some pretty cool things for them to play with, things that we don't have in our collection. Here are Sarah and Aimee all dressed up.

a Scrapbook Trends toot!
Do you remember the little layout sneak that I showed you using Cosmo Cricket's new collection, "Garden Variety"? Do you also remember that I said I was submitting it for the August issue of Scrapbook Trends?
Well, it got picked up! This will be my third pub with them this year (a card in the February issue and a layout in the July and August issues) and I am so over-the-moon excited.
Thanks for letting me share my happy news.
Now I want to spend the rest of the day scrapping ♥

hello it's Friday and I'm so glad
Do you have weeks where you are just so anxious for the weekend to get here?
This week at our house has been one of those weeks. There have been some fun times but also some pretty rough moments and I am looking forward to having my husband off of work and around to help with the girls, not to mention the fact that we have family coming into town and our girls have been counting down the days until their cousins' arrival.
So, we're going to have a fun weekend and carry that over into a great Spring Break next week. I am not sure what the time off will bring but it is sure to be entertaining with all of the kids around and there is sure to be some scrapping, especially since I have some SRM assignments I'd better get a head start on and since my Nook kit will be here NEXT WEEK!!!
Matt is off of work today so we're going to do some fun errands so for now I'll leave you with another SRM/Cosmo Cricket card. I have a Jillibean Soup layout in the works that I'll have ready soon. I just might pull out my sewing machine for some finishing touches since I've challenged a fellow scrapper to do so. Oh, and if you just love the little SRM stickers that I've been using lately you can click on the SRM above and find out how to order some online. They're fabulous and make cards so quick and easy, and add some cute touches to layouts and other projects as well.
Oh, and there are only a few more days until the Jillibean Soup design team call deadline.
Good luck to those of you who are trying out- I'll certainly be nervous until the list is posted in the next week or so.

fun scrappy news
Yes, I got some fun scrappy news and I can't wait to tell you.
I know, you hate my teasing, and I promise to share as soon as I know it's okay to do so.
Until then I am excited to see the fun things I'll get to play with when the time comes.
p.s. Last night I found out what I'll get to use for this fun assignment and couldn't be any more excited. I just thought you'd like to know ♥

My Scrapbook Nook news
Leah has finally received a shipping notice on the final item we've been waiting for in order to ship out March kits- the Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage will be more than worth the wait but it will be nice to be back on our regular kit shipping shedule.

Just a reminder of the goodness to come in the April kit:
Now for some peeks at what is coming in our kit for April. I am so excited about this kit since it will feature My Mind's Eye Little Boy Blue collection and some of my very favorite corrugated alphas from Jillibean Soup and some little alphas from October Afternoon.

How's that for some kit sneaks? I can't wait to have my kits in hand and get to work.
