hi again!

I just realized that I DO have something that I can share with you today!

I made this layout using the Jack and Jill kit from noelmignon.com- such a fun and colorful kit and those kits are always packed with so many fun embellishments. While there are many kit clubs I'd love to subscribe to I don't have a membership anywhere but this kit was so right up my alley that I couldn't resist!

There is a mix of Pebbles Inc, Lily Bee, My Mind's Eye, Crate Paper and American Crafts and I used my starburst die from Lifestyle Crafts on this one, too.

Have a fabulous day!

so sorry

I apologize for my lack of posts this week.

I've done some new things but my computer is having issues and I am not able to get images from my camera onto the computer. It kinda makes it hard for me to show anything new here.

so sad.

As soon as I am able to figure out why my computer/camera/Photoshop is giving me problems I will share something new with you.

and another new layout for you!

Good morning!

It is still hard for me to believe that summer vacation is upon us.

Today is the last day of preschool for my 4-year-old and tomorrow is the last day for my kids in 2nd grade and kindergarten!

Heaven help us!!!

just kidding...sorta.

Summer vacation is fun, we get to do lots of cool things, go on road trips, relax, go swimming, take it easy but all of the family togetherness time can sometimes cause a bit of friction between the girls.

What do you do when the kids have seen a little too much of each other?

What fun things do you plan to do to keep kids busy this summer?

Today I have another page to share with you where I used some of the cute Lifestyle Crafts dies. These pinked circles have quickly become a favorite of mine and because they come in SO many different sizes they will be used over and over on my projects.

I used papers from Lily Bee (orange dot, blue), American Crafts (pink, chevron), Studio Calico (yellow stripe), Crate Paper (doilies background), alphas from American Crafts, mists from Maya Road and Studio Calico and twine from The Twinery.

Oh, and a note about these pictures of my Hailey (7 years old). She is a bit shy, reserved, introverted, whatever you want to call it. She doesn't talk much at school or church but at home she can get a little crazy and let loose once in a while. I thought it was so fun that she wanted to pose for these pictures with her sister's Barbie guitar, even grabbed some funny hats and wigs and things. I laughed so loud when she came up to me in this frazzled blonde wig with my old glasses (with tape in the middle and lenses missing because she used them for Nerd Day) and said to me, "Look mom! I'm Taylor Swift!" She is so silly sometimes.

These are the pinked circle dies that I used:

and these are the stars:

Aren't those so fun?

I love that you get two different sizes of stars and that you can cut so many at a time. It's way quicker than using my little star punch and I get two sizes in just one template.

I know I'll be using them again and again.

woohoo! for 100,000 visits to my blog!

I got home a little while ago from Sarah's kindergarten graduation, a quick lunch at Sonic with Matt's parents and then a trip to Bath & Body Works for some teacher gifts and came home to check on my blog and saw that I'd reached 100,000 visists!

THANK YOU!!!

I really should do some kind of giveaway to celebrate, huh?

What would YOU like to win?

Have a great rest of your day, everyone! ♥

LIfestyle Crafts embossing folders

Good morning!

It's going to be a scorcher here today!

I sure hope it's a lot cooler where you are because we're supposed to hit 100 degrees and it's still only May. I think we're in for trouble this summer.

Today I have some quick cards to share that I made using these embossing folders from Lifestyle Crafts:

These two can be found here:

and

I kept my card design fairly simple which made it easy to create these cards quickly.

I cut the white cardstock to size, ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot with the Lifestyle Crafts embossing folders and then added some details to each one and was done in less than 30 minutes with all four cards.

(tag from American Crafts, twine from The Twinery)

(alphas from October Afternoon, balloon sticker from Pebbles Inc.)

(stickers from American Crafts with the exception of gray alphas; those are from October Afternoon. Twine from The Twinery)

(paper and candles from American Crafts, alpha stickers from October Afternoon, twine from The Twinery)

There are a lot of new dies and embossing folders at Lifestyle Crafts.

twirly girls layout

Hi! How is your weekend going so far?

Great, I hope.

I just wanted to share a layout that I made this week and hadn't shared with y'all yet.

We went to a friends' house last month to see their little baby chicks and then Aimee and their little girl (Aimee says that she is one of her BFF's) got all dressed up in fluffy skirts and danced around the yard.

Of COURSE I saw this as the perfect picture-taking opportunity and used those pictures on this page.

The paper is from Lawn Fawn and there are stickers from Sassafras, October Afternoon, Crate Paper and American Crafts with tapes from Bella Blvd and KI Memories. The spray mists are from Studio Calico.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I'll have some more projects to share with you next week!

Thanks so much for stopping by. ♥

another Twinery/Bella Blvd swap project

Hello again!

Today I have a layout to share with you that I created for Bella Blvd's swap with The Twinery.

First of all, I love the variety of colors available from The Twinery and really wanted to showcase that on my projects. As I was brainstorming ideas I came up with the idea to make a rainbow and use some of the Bella Blvd crocheted flowers as clouds. I love how it all came together to make this page.

Here is a peek at the rainbow:

And the full layout:

Please stop by the Bella Blvd blog for even more projects all week long and check back there on Friday as well for a giveaway. You can always find more twine ideas on The Twinery's blog, too!

scrapping with old supplies

Lately I've been wanting to dig into my scrapping stash to use some things I've had for a while but haven't had the chance to use because of team assignments.

For this page I used a mix of older and some more recent Pebbles Inc. products. I am a big fan of bright and cheery papers and embellishments because I have 4 very fun, happy kids. The two mix so well together!

I really like the tear strips at the bottom of a lot of scrapbooking papers these days. For this page I cut the extra from the top of the page so that I could keep the bottom strip attached.

I used my Fiskars butterfly punch here along with some Pebbles buttons and American Crafts glitter Thickers. The little yellow stickers are from Cosmo Cricket.

Pebbles flowers/flags and AC Thickers here again.

We were supposed to be headed to the park this morning for a health fair that Hailey's karate group was going to do a demonstration in but because of our wonderful rainy weather (we really do need the rain) it has been postponed. As much as we would love to just play today we are going to have a "cleaning up the house" day. I have to find a way to make it fun for the kids or I might be cleaning all by myself ☺

How do you make cleaning fun for your kids?

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day (a day early) to all of you moms out there. It's a tough job at times but a wonderful blessing as well. I am so thankful to get to be a mother for my 4 girls.

TGIF and some more new projects

Happy Friday to you!

Do you have big plans for the weekend?

What are you up to?

There is a health and wellness fair at a local park tomorrow and our Hailey was asked to be a part of the karate demonstration. It was such a wonderful thing that she was asked to take part; I know that she felt at least a tinge of pride over this. She is typically such a shy, reserved girl who isn't always so sure of herself. It will be fun to watch tomorrow and it's a great opportunity for her to be in the spotlight a bit.

Now for a couple of new projects:

(My Mind's Eye papers and twine and American Crafts sticker)

This mixes some old and new Pebbles Inc. collections and some American Crafts Thickers. I LOVE this happy picture of our Hailey!

Have a wonderful weekend!

what a week! and a new layout

It's just been one of those weeks where there's been SO much to do and I haven't been feeling well and can't seem to shake it off. My scrappy mojo has been a bit lacking and while I WANT to scrap I haven't necessarily been in love with what I've produced.

I did want to share with you page that I created last Friday while scrapping with a friend.

Maybe, since I haven't shared much this week (bad blogger!) I will share two things:

First off is a card that I created using some scraps from a Studio Calico kit insert, some KI Memories tape and some little pieces from the Crate Paper Pretty Party collection.

This layout was created using a mix of Crate Paper papers and stickers, some American Crafts Thickers and Pebbles Inc. embellishments.

I LOVE those glittery Thickers and hope that they come out with more in that font.
Hint, HINT American Crafts!!

I hope y'all are having a good week!

a Jillibean Soup card

Good morning!

I hope that you had a nice weekend.

Today I have a quick card to share made using some of the new Jillibean Soup.

One of my favorite Jillibean products are the little Pea Pod Parts (die cuts) and I used a few on this card including a border strip:

Have a nice day!

what we did on NSD

I hope you're all having a great weekend and that you've had a chance to get some scrapbooking done.

I had a friend over on Friday afternoon and again after dinner and was able to get 3 pages and 4 cards done! It felt so good to be so productive. I think that sometimes I spend too much time caught up with little details, wanting everything to be just-so. It was fun to just scrap without thinking too hard about it.

Does that make sense?

Saturday was spent down at the kids' gym for their Spring Showcase. It was a long day but so much fun. Here are a few pictures from yesterday.

They have worked so hard this last year and are learning and getting so much better.
I also love that they are enjoying something that I would have loved to do as a kid but because of finances we weren't able to. My sisters and I loved to watch the movie, "Nadia" that would come on tv now and then and we taught ourselves how to do cartwheels and round-offs and splits and other things.

I am so proud of my girls. I got a bit emotional watching them and seeing them so excited about what they were doing. Hailey says she had a great time even though it doesn't show in the pictures. She is quite the perfectionist and a bit of a worrier but she did a great job, too, cast and all.

I didn't do any more scrapping yesterday but got to spend the day with my girls watching them do one of their favorite things.

I will share some of my scrappy projects with you in the coming week.

Have a great rest of your weekend!
