quick page share today

Sometimes when I sit down to scrap I don't give myself any restrictions like I have to do for assignments for a team project.

I grab from here and there and add whatever "floats my boat," so to speak.

That was the case on this layout.

I used some products that I've had sitting in my stash for far too long waiting for that "perfect" project.

I tucked stickers and rub-ons here and there and added some fun Heidi Swap word and star chipboard stickers. The yellow frame and scalloped border bits are October Afternoon. The little dots and flowers are Amy Tangerine.

Come back tomorrow and I will have my first project as a returning Noel Mignon kit club team member.

Have a great day!

Little Miss Sassy Pants

This little girl is going to be three years old on Sunday!

It's so hard to believe that she is so old already.

She is a miracle girl, such a beloved part of our family, the queen of the household, to tell the truth.

She is almost three going on thirteen.

She makes me laugh and want to scream all in the same day.

ha ha.

I love her spunk.

I took a break this week to scrap something just for fun. I felt like I was stuck in a rut and just wanted to play with some of my supplies without doing it for an assignment, without having a certain group of things I had to choose from. So, I pulled out the new American Crafts Amy Tangerine Plus One collection, the new Dear Lizzy and lots of fun Thickers. The result is the above ☺

I added some fun rub-on stars by my title and a sun at the top right of the page.

We went to the Ranching Heritage Center one day while the kids were off of school and I caught Lily making this face and laughed. I knew it would make a great topic for a page and it was fun to catch a little bit of her personality.

Have a great weekend!

another layout for American Crafts

Hello again!

Have you been keeping up on the sneaks from this Summer's scrapbooking releases?

I have already spied some collections that I'd love to add to my stash♥

For today I have a layout that I created using some older American Crafts from the Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go collection.

Aimee was so excited to head back to school; she'd spent a few months in preschool the previous year but this time she was a little older and thrilled to go back and see old friends.

One thing I love about American Crafts is the fun mix of textures available as seen here with the metal flair and the burlap Thickers ♥

Have a great rest of your day!

our little Snow White

The layout that I have to share today features my daughter, Sarah.

I was sitting down on the bleachers waiting for Sarah and Hailey to finish gymnastics practice when a lady behind me asked me if I was Sarah's mom. I recognized her from the kids' school and we started to talk about our kids. She then proceeded to tell me that her son, who was in the same class as Sarah for kindergarten, had a crush on her and thought that she looked just like Snow White. I thought that was the cutest thing and had to do a page about it. Not that I think she looks just like Snow White but she does have fair skin and dark hair- this girl was not blessed with her dad's olive-toned skin like the other kids- and her favorite Disney princess has always been Snow White.

I created this layout using the Amy Tangerine "Ready Set Go" collection:

Here are a couple of close-ups:

back with a new page to share

Hey!

I was working on some projects for the upcoming Craft & Hobby Association trade show and decided to take a break to work on something else to clear my head and created this layout using the fun Amy Tangerine Yes Please collection from American Crafts.

As I do with many of my layouts, instead of cutting off the printed tear strip at the bottom of the patterned paper, I leave that on as a bottom border and cut a bit off of the top.

I cut a butterfly from the tan corrugated paper with one of my Tim Holtz dies and kept the negative piece to use on my page. I decided to add some polka dot stickers to it and just realized how much they look like the little polka dots on Lily's shirt!
*remember that i used the "extra" on this project:

It is so fun to be able to use scraps and not waste anything.
I added these little puffy arrow stickers and added my journaling and that was it. I think the page took about 30 minutes to complete. The thing that took the longest was waiting for the mist to dry on the background!

Have a fantastic day!

sleepy girl and some new Amy Tangerine

I was up with baby girl just barely after 4 again this morning.

"Mommy, Mommy," is what I hear quite frequently these days and while I love that sweet little voice I'd much rather be sleeping at that time of day.

I finally tried to go back to bed after getting her back to sleep only to be stirred by my husband's snoring. I am so tired and really would just like to go back to sleep. Now the other kids will have to get up in about a half hour to get ready for school. Stinks.

Anyway, today I have a new layout to share using the new Amy Tangerine "Ready Set Go" line. This picture was taken on the afternoon of Aimee's birthday. We'd gone to San Angelo for a gymnastics meet, then after lunch to celebrate and then were off to the park to play for a while. Little Lily was exhausted and didn't last long in the swing.

The big "hello" was cut using my Silhouette Cameo, everything else is from American Crafts.

Well, one of the kids is up already, so my idea of going back to bed has been thwarted.

I hope y'all have a good day.

and another Sunnyside project

Hi again!

I wanted to share another project with you where I used the cute new Sunnyside collection from Pebbles Inc. I just found out that this page was featured on Amy Tan's blog today, which, to me, is pretty cool!

These pictures are from our Spring Break camping trip this year. There was a lake and the water near the shore was a bit on the murky/muddy/brown side but the kids still had lots of fun playing and splashing and building castles with moats.

Do you have any big plans for the weekend?

Have a great one!
