a couple of quick cards

Good morning!

Today will be a quick post sharing a couple of super quick and easy cards I made using the Simple Stories sticker sheets from the February Noel Mignon Daily Diary kit, So Sweet.

With the crazy schedule we keep some days I just have to make a project fast, and that's what I did this week. I simply used some stickers, a bit of washi a strip of patterned paper and some twine and these cards were done.

What are you creating?

Drop a link and I will take a look. I love to see what others are up to.

cards using Notes & Things from Crate Paper

Hello again!

I have a couple more projects to share with you using the beautiful new collection from Crate Paper called Notes & Things. In case you just really love this collection make sure to check out the Crate blog today because they are supposed to reveal a brand new Maggie Holmes collection that is sure to be gorgeous as well. I saw a sneak of it and it is just as beautiful as her collections always are.

Anyway, here are a couple of cards that I made for my article over at The Scrap Review.

The premade journaling cards, tags and stickers in this collection make it easy to create projects with lots of texture and detail. I stuck some foam adhesive under the bottom left edges of the little flower to make it stand up a bit and added some gold sequins to the pocket card.

Have a fantastic day!

Tomorrow I will have some BasicGrey projects to share that I made for the reveal of the new Vivienne and Aurora collections. You will love those papers and coordinating embellishments. They really did an amazing job creating these two new collections ♥

quick and easy Front Porch cards

The Front Porch collection from Pebbles Inc. was released about a year ago yet it is still one of my favorites from them. I like the beautiful soft colors and pretty icons in that line.

I decided to pull out that collection again to make some quick cards:

I used bits of patterned paper and lots of premade embellishments to create these quick and easy cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

Noel Mignon cards to share today

Hello again!

This summer is flying by, isn't it?

June is almost over and before we know it the kids will be headed off to school.

As much as my kids drive me and each other crazy sometimes I really do like having them around.

I dropped them off for daycamp day before yesterday and actually felt a little sad.

They had a great time, though, and I got to work on these:

The little tag stickers are from Chic Tags, the "hello" is a wood piece from We R Memory Keepers that I painted in a bit of an ombre effect. Enamel dots are from Queen and Company.

More stickers from Chic Tags and Hazel and Ruby.

Created with the Balboa kit from Noel Mignon.

Have a great day!!

fun with texture and Lifestyle Crafts

Hello!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Today I have a few cards to share with you that I created using some of the brand new embossing folders from Lifestyle Crafts. In case you hadn't heard, Lifestyle Crafts/We R Memory Keepers was recently purchased by American Crafts. Now you can get even more great scrapbooking and crafting supplies all in one place.

For these cards I used the following supplies:

Lifestyle Crafts Evolution diecutting platform
Lifestyle Crafts Embossing folders: stripe, chevron, wood grain, polka dot
Lifestyle Crafts Albums Made Easy dies: Instagram frames, Icons
Lifestyle Crafts 4x12 vellum sheets
Lifestyle Crafts adhesive cork sheets
Lifestyle Crafts Kraft chipboard
We R Memory Keepers Albums Made Easy: Bloom journaling cards
We R Memory Keepers Enamel Shapes: Cool
Heidi Swapp sentiment sticker
American Crafts foam Thickers and cardstock

For this card I combined lots of  texture by using both the cork and the embossed paper. I used the larger of the two Instagram frames cut out of the cork and it worked so smoothly! I love that you can use the dies to cut so many different materials and it works well every time.

It is easy to use the embossing folders. All you have to do is cut your paper to size, put it inside the folder, close it and run it through your Evolution or other diecutting platform (Big Shot, etc.)

It may be hard to tell in this main picture but below you can see the striped lines on the white vellum. It adds a bit of sophistication and detail to an otherwise simple card. I LOVE the Instagram frames die. I can see myself using this one over and over and over! This is the smaller of the two in the set.

For this last card I decided to try out the Lifestyle Crafts kraft cardstock. It runs as smooth as butter through the machine and works so well with the embossing folders!

For this simple card I used the kraft carstock, a journaling card from the Bloom Albums Made Easy set, a cork heart cut using the Instagram Icons dies and a couple of enamel dots. It makes for a pretty, quick and easy card.

Have you tried out the new dies or embossing folders from Lifestyle Crafts yet?

As always you can shop here and use the code SCRAPPIN to get 20% any products on the site every single day.

Have a fantastic day!!

gold washi tape from Queen and Company

Gold has hit the big time in the scrapbooking world and Queen and Company has joined the trend with these three new Trendy Tapes.

I got my tapes from the Noel Mignon online store where you can find a variety of the new Queen & Co. tapes.

I added the tapes alternating styles in a diagonal line, then added the "hello" which I cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I also added some gold Twinkle stars to finish off this quick and easy card.

What do you think of the metallic trend?

Do you have a favorite?

Have you used them in your scrapbooking?

Garden Party cards

It's another quick post day as I try to get the kids ready for awards assemblies at school later today and then out the door in hopes of getting them there on time.

Are any of you still struggling with kids who don't want to get ready on time in the morning?

Golly- it's the second to last week of school and I still feel like I have to nag and nag to make sure everything gets done ☺

Today I have a couple of quick cards to share with you using Pebbles Inc's Garden Party collection:

And this is a layout that I made for the Pebbles blog in April using the same collection:

Have a wonderful day!

Hi there!

It's been a busy day around here today- I help in my kindergartner's class every Wednesday morning, then take my youngest to a Mom & Me gymnastics class, then we had to run some errands to gather things for Teacher Appreciation Week. With 4 kids we have lots of teacher gifts to get ready!

The big reveal at My Creative Scrapbook happened on Monday and I have some more projects to share with you today, this time a bunch of cards:

The main kit at MCS this month features Simple Stories papers and lots of fun embellishments. I will share a couple more layouts that I made as we finish out this week.
