Second challenge

Ok, so I am a little slow. Maybe really slow since challenge #3 will be posted tomorrow by MOI, me, and so I should post what I did for #2. The challenge over at AC Bailey this week was to pick a layout from a magazine, online gallery, wherever, do a sketch of that page and then create a layout based on the sketch. I decided to scraplift a beautiful page by our Phoebe, fellow design team member at ACB and this is what I came up with...a fun page with this ever-so-cute pic of Sarah wearing Hailey's big dress. For some reason she loves to wear this whenever she wants to dress up in "princess" clothes. Yes, she is stinkin' cute. As her mom I am a little biased...naaaah. Not a bit. Stay tuned because I will fill you in on challenge #3 soon.

first challenge is up!

The AC Bailey Scrap Scouts challenge has officially started and the first challenge posted this morning. You can read more about it at the site. And, here is my layout for the challenge- to use white space. I am somewhat white-spaced challenged, so this was a fun one for me.

the things they say...it's unbelievable

"Kids say the darnedest things," or so they say. This would embarass Hailey if she ever read it, but here goes anyway. The kids were at the table having a snack this afternoon and Hailey knocked over her juice. She came in to tell me (I was, of course, using the computer- the chair has almost become an extra appendage lately) and I asked her what she would like me to do. She yelled at me to clean it up. So, I told her that since she spilled it she should help to clean up the mess. I must mention that I was speaking very calmly and not at all upset at her. Hailey apparently didn't like the idea of cleaning it up, so she said, "I'm going to stand on it and poop in it." Well...ok. I promptly cleaned up the mess myself. I have no idea where she came up with an idea to say something like that.
