four little fishies and Lily Bee

Good morning!

I got to sleep in today and it was so nice!

I have a new page to share that I created using the August sketch for Lily Bee:

You can see the cute sketch on the Lily Bee blog here.

We pulled out our tiny pool for the kids to swim in one day and they had so much fun!

I cut the waves and sun on my Silhouette Cameo. The waves were a file from my friend, Juliana Michaels.

You can see Christine's cute take on the sketch and other great scrapping ideas at the Lily Bee blog

Have a great day!

cards with Lily Bee

Hello again!

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you created for the Lily Bee blog post that was up yesterday. You can see some detail shots as well as Nicole's fabulous cards here. Our theme was repetition.

Here are the two cards that I made:

For this first card I used my Fiskars butterfly punch. For the card below I used some triangle dies from Lifestyle Crafts.

Have a fantastic day!

Fun in the Sun at Lily Bee

Hello again!

This week's theme at Lily Bee is "Fun in the Sun" and today I have a new layout on the blog using some pictures from a recent road trip.

The Destination collection was so perfect for this travel page!

I used the fun map page for the background which I thought would be fun since Paris was on the map. Of course we didn't get to see Paris, France but instead were in Paris, TX but it works, right? ☺

The big Eiffel Tower cut is a Silhouette file and I cut it using a piece of paper from the Destination collection 6x6 Tiny Tablet.

I cut a chevron-striped piece from patterned paper and wrapped it with twine to decorate the top of the page, misted the map background to make the pattern on the paper more subdued, and added some of the new chipboard stickers and other embellishments to finish off the page.

Make sure to check the Lily Bee blog throughout the week for more inspiration on how to scrap your "fun in the sun" pictures.

Have a great day!

Stars and Stripes with Lily Bee

Today I have a couple of cards up on the Lily Bee blog!

The theme for the week is Stars and Stripes, quite fitting for 4th of July week.

Destination is a travel line but with the red, whites and blues it is also perfect for patriotic projects. My fave is the red, white and blue chevron striped one but I also really like all of the woodgrain papers.

I the Destination collection and my Silhouette Cameo to work for these cards:

Lily Bee and PageMaps

The design team at Lily Bee had the chance to work with Becky Fleck's PageMaps for June. Becky's sketches are some of my very favorites and are a great way to jumpstart creativity when scrapping. I really like them when I am stuck and can't seem to think of what I want to do on a page.

You can find Becky's PageMaps here

Here is the layout that I created with the sketch I was given:

I really liked the banner strips that went down the page. I pulled out some of my older Lily Bee stickers mixed with new chipboard pieces to make the banners.

You can see more inspiration from the talented Lily Bee team here.

Have a great day!

it's Monday again

I hope that y'all had a good weekend and that you got to celebrate a little. There were so many things going on- National Scrapbook Day, Star Wars Day, the derby, and gymnastics for us. The kids did their Spring Showcase and it was so fun to watch them do the things they've been working so hard to learn.

I have a new project up on the Lily Bee blog today; we are celebrating Moms this week. Here is the page I created and you can see some close-ups at the Lily Bee blog

Have a great day ♥

p.s. Thank you to everyone who visited my blog this weekend and left comments. It is fun to come back and see that I had so many visitors!

layout and a challenge with Lily Bee

I tend to scrap mainly pictures of my family so the newest challenge at Lily Bee was a fun one for me: scrap what is outside your window.

As may be the case where you live as well, we have had quite a rollercoaster ride of a Spring so far. I decided to scrap about that:

I created the large chevron piece on my Silhouette Cameo and filled in the negative space with some papers from the new Lily Bee collection: Destination.

I put my butterfly punches to work to go along with my Spring theme.

You can see the other designers' work on this theme at the Lily Bee blog.

quote-inspired cards for Lily Bee

Hey there!

Is life as crazy for you as it seems to be all the time around here?

What do you do to keep sane?

I have a couple of cards that I created for Lily Bee to share. We were supposed to share something that inspires us and for our card post we decided to create cards inspired by quotes. Ours were found on Pinterest. You can see Summer's cards on the blog here.  The Lily Bee designers are sharing lots of fun inspiration this week so go check it out!

For these cards I mixed two of the new Lily Bee collections, Sweet Shoppe and Pinwheel:

These are simple but colorful and fun ♥

Have a great day ♥

For the hop I created this layout with a mix of the new collections:

I really like the idea of Project Life and the grid format so I gave it a try for this layout featuring pictures of my Aimee from last spring. These flowers were from our garden and of course I had to take advantage of the opportunity to take some pictures!

I cut the patterned papers the same size as the pictures and rounded the corners on everything, then placed them in a grid pattern. I then added bits and pieces to jazz it up- stickers, new Lily Bee chipboard, diecuts, etc. until I was happy with the result.

Spring/Easter projects with Lily Bee

Even though the weather outside isn't reflective of this, it is, in fact, Spring!

Our trees are budding and the grass is starting to green up and as hard as it is to believe, this Sunday is Easter.

I created a few little projects for the Lily Bee blog and would like to share them with you today.

I created a bunny/carrot garland and a few little treat bags with shapes cut on my SIlhouette Cameo and papers from the Lily Bee Candy Shoppe and Pinwheel collections.

You can see lots of great Spring and Easter inspiration on the Lily Bee blog this week.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Good morning!

I created this framed artwork for the Lily Bee blog and would love to share it with you here today.

The shamrocks and sentiment were cut using my Silhouette Cameo and all patterned papers are from Lily Bee.

I added some green pearls from Queen and Company to the wording to help it stand out better and not look so plain.

Have a fantastic day and make sure to wear some green so that you don't get pinched!

Lily Bee Design blog

For today I created two cards:

I used the Persnickety collection on this card along with some diecuts made on my Silhouette Cameo. I love using the smaller patterns found in the 6x6 Tiny Tablets. They are great for layouts and other projects but are just the right scale for using on cards.

For this next card I used some of the brand new Pinwheel collection.

This herringbone pattern was one of my favorites from this collection!

Have fun hopping along and make sure to leave a comment on each designer's blog as well as one at the Lily Bee blog to be eligible for giveaways. There are additional ways to get extra entries in the drawings and you can read all about those on the Lily Bee blog. All prize winners will be announced on the Lily Bee Design blog next week.

Now head on over to the LIly Bee blog to finish up the hop for today and make sure to visit again tomorrow for even more inspiration.

Happy 4th Birthday, Lily Bee!

I have a couple of cards to share today created using scraps from a mix of Lily Bee collections.

These are both pretty simple cards; I used the Persnickety collection for the backgrounds, a heart punch, doilies and some die cuts and quickly put these together in about 10 minutes.
