Today I'd like to share a layout that I made for a trade show for Queen & Company using the pretty felt roses:
These roses are super-easy to use and add an elegant touch to any project.
Have a great day!

silly kid antics and Queen & Company Designer Tapes
Hi!
I hope you had a good weekend.
Today I have a quick page to share using some of the new-ish Designer Tapes from Queen and Company.
I used a piece of Studio Calico paper as my background and then created some Instagram frames using tapes and some metal dies from Lifestyle Crafts. The hearts and banners are also cut using Queen tapes and the stars are a mix of tape, cork (from Lifestyle Crafts) and some gold glitter cardstock from Core'dinations. The green foam alphas are American Crafts Thickers. The chipboard camera is by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper and the heart journal spot is an old one from Jenni Bowlin.
I love dipping into my stash!
What have you created with washi tape?
I'd love to see so link me up!

gold washi tape from Queen and Company
Gold has hit the big time in the scrapbooking world and Queen and Company has joined the trend with these three new Trendy Tapes.
I got my tapes from the Noel Mignon online store where you can find a variety of the new Queen & Co. tapes.

I added the tapes alternating styles in a diagonal line, then added the "hello" which I cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I also added some gold Twinkle stars to finish off this quick and easy card.
What do you think of the metallic trend?
Do you have a favorite?
Have you used them in your scrapbooking?

a quick hello and a Garden Party card
Good morning!
I have a quick card to share with you using the pretty Garden Party collection from Pebbles Inc.
I have a quick card to share with you using the pretty Garden Party collection from Pebbles Inc.
This is a fun, quick card. I simply rounded the corners on a couple of pieces of patterned paper, added the butterfly to a pre-made journaling card along with some Queen & Company Jellies and staple accents.
Have a great day!

how about a sunshine card?
Good morning!
It is Good Friday and for the first time I can remember my kids are off of school today.
We usually have to use this day as a snow day make-up and since we didn't get hardly any snow this Winter we get to have the day off.
If only Moms really got days off, right?
I love my kids and we have some fun things planned for this Easter weekend.
Today I will share a quick card using a Silhouette cut file and some paper and embellishments from Queen and Company:

ready for Summer with Queen and Company
For this past CHA tradeshow, Queen and Company released some fun new paper lines along with all of the new fantastic embellishments.
I created this layout using some of the new Summer Splash papers, new tapes, flowers and Candy Shoppe embellishments:
Is anyone else ready for summer?
I know that we are!

love these girls; playing with paint and mist
**Please check post below for your chance to win a spot in the upcoming PageMapsU Card class!
I will be participating along with many of your favorite cardmakers. Here is a peek of one of my cards:
It's another day, another chance to make it a better one than the day before.
I had a rough mom night with some of my kids last night...they were being difficult and I gave in and lost my cool. I had to ask for their forgiveness. It is a good thing they are so forgiving. I am trying to be better.
Have you ever been there before?
I do love my girls; they are sweet and creative and smart and amaze me all the time.
Here is a page that I created yesterday in about 15 minutes using product I had right on my desktop; white cardstock background (American Crafts cardstock is my fave), a tag from Bella Blvd, a vellum cut by the talented Jennifer Chapin, mist from Heidi Swapp, wood veneer shapes that I cut using wood paper from ARC Crafts, tape from Queen & Co, American Crafts glitter Thickers, some craft paint and a Studio Calico acetate word.

The pictures of my girls are from Sarah's birthday; I wanted to get some pictures of her before we left for church and Lily did not want to be left out of the action. ♥
The tapes are from Queen & Co's new release; I worked on some CHA projects for Wendy and was able to snag some tape from my sister-in-law who was here visiting and also working on Q&Co projects.
That little yellow tag is from one of Bella Blvd's brand new releases- so cute! I tucked a heart underneath and added a few wood veneer stars punched from the ARC bark paper.
Have a fantastic day!

some trade show projects for Queen & Co.
Wendy of Queen and Co. has outdone herself with the new CHA release for the trade show next week.
She has lots of brand new tapes- something like 60 new ones!!!
Queen & Co. is also releasing some brand new wooded embellishments, new tags and clips and lots of other cute blingy things. There are new paper lines with coordinating stickers. I think it's her best release to date.
I got to create with the new "On The Go" collection and made these:

Here you can see some of the new Woodies and flair badges as well as some of my favorite go-to's- tape, buttons and twine.
I used a Silhouette file to create the grid background on this page and then filled in the spaces with bits of patterned paper. The brightly-colored tags also come in polka dots and chevron stripes.
I also was able to snag a bit of the new Summer tapes and made this card:

Sharing some new things from Queen and Company
One of my fun little side gigs is doing work for Queen and Company for trade shows. I've had the opportunity the last CHAs to do work for them and really like the new tapes and embellishments they've come out with this time. You can see them all on the Queen and Company blog.
Here are some cards and layouts that I created for their booth at the show, featuring some of the new Halloween tapes as well as the "country" set of tapes.

I used a couple of the Stylish Sacs (chevron) for the background.
I made the page title with Q&Co twine I just wrote the word with liquid glue and added the twine over the top. Pretty easy and adds a fun bit of texture to my page. Small alpha stickers from October Afternoon.
Here is the cute set of tapes that I used:
Aren't the new tapes and Candy Shoppe embellishments so fun?
Glitter foam alphas are from American Crafts.
Here are the two new sets of Halloween tapes making their debut at this Summer's trade show:
We had a special photo session to get these fun pictures of Sarah dressed up as a witch ☺
The alphas are from American Crafts, circles were made with Queen and Co. Trendy Tape and my circle punches.
One of my favorites of the new tapes is this cute orange chevron-striped one. So fun!
Do you have a favorite tape? Which do you think you would use the most?
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

some party projects for Queen & Company
I do some freelance work for Queen & Company and had lots of fun playing with their cute tapes for this project:
One of my favorite parts of this project was the washi tape and twine banner. I love that their tapes come in so many colors and patterns. They are nice and sticky but also repositionable. The tape is also a great way to dress up a plain gift bag.
Easy envelope made from craft paper and an envelope template.
To make the stars for the frame I just put some washi on a piece of white cardstock and then cut them out. The envelope and star templates are from Lifestyle Crafts.
The Note cards were simply cut from patterned paper in my stash and then I rounded the corners and added tape to make them cute.
These were all quick and easy things that you can create from items you probably already have at home, and what a great way to use some of your washi (if you are at all like me) that you are hoarding ♥ I simply cannot resist those cute little rolls of tape!
You can see more projects at the Queen & Company blog.
Have a great day!

Happy Halloween!
Can you believe that it is Halloween already?
This year is FLYING by so fast!
Before we know it Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here and then it will be 2013.
The older I get the faster time seems to fly.
For today I have a fun scrapbook page to share with you created simply with some cardstock, Trendy Tapes and twine from Queen and Company, some American Crafts alphas and Queen & Company pearls. Oh, and there's a bit of spray mist in there, too.
I never thought that I could create a page without patterned paper but with the use of tapes you can fill a lot of the void of not using the other papers. I decided for this page that it would be fun to create a banner using the tapes and twine and then add the pictures to it with little clothespins (from Pebbles Inc.) I really like how this one turned out.

Here is a close-up of the little banner. I simply cut a length of twine and then little pieces of Trendy Tape which I folded in half and trimmed to make the pennant shape.
These big foam alphas are from American Crafts. The little Queen & Company pearls add a fun bit of dimension to the letters, don't you think?
And here is the full page:

fall projects with Queen & Company
I've had fun lately playing with tapes and buttons and twine from Queen & Company. Today I will share a couple of cards that I created and tomorrow I have a fun layout to share.
For this card I used the Pumpkin Patch collection from American Crafts along with Trendy Tape and twine from Queen & Company. These tapes are so fun and come in such a wide variety of prints and colors that they go along with everything!
Here I used another mix of Queen & Co. Trendy Tape with a sticker from American Crafts and some buttons and twine from Queen & Company.
Have a great day!

and...we're back! and a couple of projects
Hi again!
I now know in a small way what it must feel like for people who lose power, phone, internet, etc. as the result of a bad storm. We were without our phone, internet and cable for 5 days and it's amazing how much we become so tied to those things.
The tv I can do without because I just don't watch that much but the internet is something that I use all the time, especially to keep up on my design team responsibilities. I have had so many things to post and turn in this week and just couldn't so I'll be sharing those things little by little over the next week.
In big news- tomorrow is World Cardmaking Day and I will have cards to share for both Bella Blvd and Lily Bee and there will be LOTS of cards shared on those blogs as well, so stay tuned and be prepared to be inspired to create!
We have a big gymnastics meet at our gym this weekend so it is going to be a busy one and thankfully we have Monday off to recuperate. I think we will really need it after the week we have had. I won't even go into that but will just say that I have had it up to "here" as they say sometimes. It is incredible the calm I feel just being able to sit and blog again and my 4 year old is happy to be able to watch her "Doc McStuffins" show on tv. The simple things, right? I know, it's silly.
This week I had a couple of projects up on the Queen and Company blog- I am doing some freelance work with them that I couldn't turn down- have you SEEN their washi tapes? I love them. You can imagine the way my jaw dropped when I opened the box and there were something like 50 rolls of all kinds of patterned tapes.
Anyway, here is what I created using their new Trendy Tapes, buttons and twine, along with some cute little blingy stars:

First off, I created the butterflies by adhering some strips of tape on a piece of cardstock which I then using my Fiskars butterfly punch. The little tag is from Jillibean Soup and the twine is from Queen and Co.
Here is the finished card:
I also created this layout using just a few of the Trendy Tapes that I was sent:
the tiny buttons are so cute! I cut the sunbursts on my Silhouette Cameo and the alphas are from American Crafts and October Afternoon. The journaling spot is from Jillibean Soup.
Thanks so much for coming by today. I will try and get caught up here as quickly as I can.
Make sure to stop by tomorrow for World Cardmaking Day!
Have a great weekend ♥
