two in a row!

It must be a lucky day because I have another page to share.

This one was also created using Fancy Pants, only I used the Flutter collection for this one:

Anyone who has followed me for long knows that I tend to add lots of embellishments to my pages, perhaps sometimes too many. I do like that each Fancy Pants collection has a lot of diecuts, stickers, buttons, etc. to choose from.

It may be hard to tell from the picture above but those yellowish pieces are actually GOLD! I am still happily continuing my gold kick- I think I like that it took me a little longer to get on board because I am still enjoying it and hope this trend doesn't go away anytime soon.

Have a fun day!

Fancy Pants projects

Hi again!

Today I am going to share a new layout that I made for Fancy Pants Designs.

It's been fun to be part of the social media design team there. I like that my schedule is more flexible and I've been a fan of the company since almost the beginning of my scrapping days.

We happened upon this really cool camp that was not only fun for the kids but also totally free. They had a great time and are already planning to go next year.

I used the pretty Office Suite collection to make this page. I really like all of the little diecut borders and journaling spots. I used quite a few on this page.

Have a fantastic day!

Fancy Pants part 2

Hello again!

I have a couple more projects to share with you that I created for Fancy Pants:

My kids are reading up a storm this summer, participating in a few different summer reading programs. I thought it would be fun to make some bookmarks for them. For these I used tags and ephemera from the Fancy Pants Summer Sun collection.

The kids loved them!

This page also uses the Summer Sun collection. Instead of using patterned paper I used a few Brag Cards to bring some color to my page and then used some smaller accents to finish off the page. It is a great way to use the pocket page-style cards on a traditional page.

Fancy Pants projects for June

Good afternoon!

Today I have a couple of projects to share with you that I created for Fancy Pants:

These cards were super-easy to create using Brag Cards from the Summer Sun collection. I added a little bit of glitter to the flower on the card on the left and to the bottom of the card on the right.

For this layout I used the Making Waves collection, which is great for summer fun, nautical themes and year-round memories. I used it to scrap these pictures of two of my girls with one of their cousins.

The colors in the Making Waves collection go perfectly with their clothes, don't you think?

Thanks for stopping by today!

I have a couple more projects to share tomorrow and also make sure to stop by the Fancy Pants blog on Saturday for the Social Saturday round-up!

May flew by!

Wow!

Was May a crazy month for anyone else?

There are always end of the year activities, assemblies galore, projects to do, etc.

And, we also got some sad adoption news and we are once again back at the drawing board.

That caused a bit of a distraction from everything else that we have had going on.

I didn't even get my projects posted but would love to share them with you today.

First of all, I did a project for some of the kids' school teachers.

I upcycled some metal containers which I decorated with papers and embellishments from the new Fancy Pants Making Waves, Flutter and Summer Sun collections.

After sharpening what seemed like a million pencils (it was actually only about 200) I used a paper punch to make some flowers to add to the tops of some of the pencils.

I added a gift card and a handmade card from my kids and this easy project was done.

Second of all, I created this layout using the beautiful Summer Sun collection:

Now that the kids are out of school for the summer hopefully things won't be quite AS crazy.

Ha ha.

I guess we'll see.

two new layouts for Fancy Pants

For this month's Fancy Pants projects I used the brand new Office Suite collection.

The soft colors and fun patterns in this collection along with all of the fun tags and other embellishments make creating super easy.

I stayed pretty simple with these two layouts allowing the photos to shine:

For both pages I used the large diecut alpha pack. I like how they make a big impact with no work at all.

Have a wonderful day!

my three-ring circus

Hello again!

I have four daughters, aged 3 to 10 and life can be pretty crazy around here sometimes!

I thought this fun picture of three of my girls would work well with the Fancy Pants Everyday Circus collection.

What are you scrapping lately?

creating everyday pages with Fancy Pants Oh Deer!

Hi again!

It's been a busy few days but now that the kids are back in school I can hopefully get back on a regular schedule. Life is great, and full of so many wonderful things, it's just sometimes hard to keep up with it all.

Today I have another layout created using the Oh Deer! collection from Fancy Pants.

The collection has a holiday vibe to it but the colors and patterns are great for winter projects and everyday ones as well. Here I've used the collection to scrap pictures of my kids after a rare snowfall.

I used some of the brag cards to make my foundation, using one for my journaling as well. I added a couple of tags and a frame as well as some buttons and lots of spray mist.

Fancy Pants Everyday Circus

If you have been following my blog for very long you know that I like to mix patterned paper.

You also may know that I like to be able to use "themed" collections for everyday pages.

Last week I shared a page using the Oh Deer! collection from Fancy Pants for my daughter's spring dance recital pictures.

Today I will share a layout using Fancy Pants' Everyday Circus collection for a sports page about one of my other kids.

The Everyday Circus line is just that- very circus-themed with animals and balloons and other fun icons but there are lots of things you can use for everyday pages. I really liked the stickers and used a bunch of them here on my page:

This little girl is a fierce competitor and that carries over into all areas of her life. She is determined, she is strong, she is stubborn and she is passionate about what she loves.

We love her so much!

Fancy Pants Burlap & Bouquets

One of the great thing about being snowed in last week (we didn't get tons of snow but the roads were covered in ice so we couldn't go anywhere without skating on the roads) and the kids sleeping in was I got to have some extra time to scrap!

Even though it was vacation for the kids I couldn't sleep in, of course, so I took advantage of the quite time and got lots of Fancy Pants projects done.

I shared one using the Oh Deer! collection yesterday and today am sharing one using the beautiful Burlap & Bouquets line. I added a few gold accents but everything else is from the collection.

One of my favorite parts of this collection are the large tags. I used one for journaling and another as a base for some of the cute stickers.

I like to document the everyday, normal activities and the faster time seems to pass the more I want to capture these seemingly mundane times with family.

Have you scrapped using the Burlap & Bouquets collection?

Leave a link and share so we can all see your work!

Have a fantastic weekend!

playing catch-up with 2014

Since I don't always scrap things in order but instead just grab the picture that fits the mood of what I want to scrap at the time, I have lots of catching up to do. I don't know that I will ever fully catch up and that's okay.

I was scrapping with the Oh Deer! line from Fancy Pants and thought the reds would go great with these spring dance recital pics of my oldest daughter. I added a few touches of gold and a couple of doilies.

I like how the red from the photos pop on the white corrugated paper background.

For the title I used a premade phrase from Dear Lizzy, added some liquid glue and covered the phrase in gold glitter and shook off the extra. I let it dry a bit before adding it to my page.

How do you find time to be creative?

What is your crafty goal for 2015?

Today I have some really quick and easy ornaments to share with you:

I found the wood/burlap ornaments at a craft store and just added some chipboard bits, sequins and cards/stickers from the Fancy Pants Oh Deer! collection.

As we prep for the holidays time to craft is so rare.

Quick projects are a must!

happy, happy holidays to you!

True Friend cards for Fancy Pants

Have you seen the cute True Friend collection from Fancy Pants?

It is one of my current favorites from them.

I like the cutesy images and great color combination.

Here are a couple of cards that I made for them as part of the Social Media Design Team:

Social Saturday at Fancy Pants

Good morning!

I love the first Saturday of the month because that means it is time for our Social Saturday Round-Up at Fancy Pants!

Our Social Media team has been hard at work creating and sharing lots of fun pics via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, blogs, etc and you can see all of the projects here.

I have a couple more projects to share that I hadn't posted here yet:

Both of these projects were made using the Me-Ology collection. I like that it has a bit of vintage and lots of classic patterns but in bold, funky colors!

I threw in some sequins from the Oh Deer! collection because I love sequins lately!!

We are off to watch our girl compete in McKinney so have a great weekend!!

Burlap & Bouquets from Fancy Pants

Hello again!

This week has been so crazy- how has it been for you?

I thought that with kids back in school I might have more time to scrap but that hasn't actually been the case.

I think I've done one layout this week. So sad.

For today I have this layout to share, one that I created for Fancy Pants using the Burlap & Bouquets collection.

In the collection is this floral wreath paper. I could have saved it to use the polka-dotted side but instead wanted to challenge myself and decided to handcut the wreath to use on this layout. I carefully cut around the flowers using scissors and a craft knife, hoping I wouldn't mess it up! I don't do a lot of intricate cut work on my pages, or at least haven't in a while, so I was just crossing my fingers that I wouldn't end up wasting the pretty paper.

I think it turned out okay ♥

Once cut out and mounted on my white cardstock background I added a few cardstock florals with foam adhesive and a few other embellishments.

I love this picture of my girls from Easter and the colors in the Burlap & Bouquets collection set it off so nicely.

Have a fantastic weekend!

It is officially gymnastics season for my daughter and the first meet is tomorrow!

Wish us luck!

Make sure to check the Fancy Pants blog tomorrow- and the first Saturday of each month- for a roundup of all of the projects created by the new social media team.
