the Confetti trend

Hello again!

Confetti is popping up everywhere in scrapbooking and today it's being featured at Bella Blvd.

I'd never before created anything with confetti so I really enjoyed this assignment.

Here is what I created:

Lily and I had been at the park on the day I created this layout and I knew that these pictures of her with her bouquet of dandelions would be great for my confetti assignment.

I cut the confetti on my Silhouette Cameo after making some of the shapes a little bit larger to give variety to the size of confetti. The title was also cut on my Cameo. The spray mists are from Heidi Swapp and Studio Calico.

I used Tombow liquid glue and then piece by piece added the pieces of confetti and then went back to layer some more on top until I was happy with the way it looked.

I added some Bella Blvd stickers for accents and really like the way it turned out!

Have you ever created a project with confetti? I'd love to see it!
Leave me a link to your project and I'll take a look.

our family

Good morning!

I hope that you and your loved ones are well. I have a sick almost-4 year old and my stomach is feeling a bit woozy today. I hope that whatever bug we have doesn't travel through the whole family this time. With little kids there seems to always be something going around.

Here's one more page featuring a mix of Bella Blvd:

When we were in Houston at the end of the summer we were able to take some family pictures thanks to my sister-in-law and even now it is so out of date. Baby Lily has grown so much since then.

I need to get busy on some scrapbooking projects today so that I can have more to share with you here. I will have some My Little Shoebox and Jillibean things to share as soon as those things are up on the company blogs. I got an insane amount of Bella Blvd from the UPS man yesterday so be prepared for lots of that, too!

Have a great day!

a few of my favorite things

Last night I had a few minutes after the kids got settled in bed so I put together a page using some of my current favorite scrappy things:
-Amy Tangerine collection from American Crafts
-Sweet & Sour Soup from Jillibean Soup
-aqua and white (paper from Canvas Corp)
-twine and staples
-heart paper from the new Bella Blvd Christmas collection
-woodgrain(Crate Paper) and grid papers (Pebbles Inc.)
-chevron stripes (Amy Tan)
-border punches (EK Success and Martha Stewart)
-journal spots (Jillibean Soup Sweet & Sour collection)
-Fresh Goods collection from Pebbles Inc.
-Thickers (of course, right?- from American Crafts)
-stripes (yellow and white from Crate Paper)
-the cute new Daydreams collection from American Crafts

It's quite a mix of stuff but hopefully you like it. I do. I ♥ that Canvas Corp aqua/white polka dot paper!

and a few detail shots:

Have a great weekend!

Do you have big plans?

I am going to a crop at my local scrap store tonight and sometime this long weekend we're going to go to the apple orchard. I can't wait to go and pick some juicy apples and get some new pictures of the family.

4 months old already

It's hard to believe that four months have passed since this sweet little girl was born yet it seems ages ago that I was cooped up in my hospital bed waiting and just praying I could keep her inside of me even one more day. It was a rollercoaster of emotions back then and I get emotional even now as I think about it. Now that time is just a tiny speck but it was such a huge thing at the time.

This is our precious Lily Grace when she was just days old in the newborn ICU.

It was so hard to have to leave her at the hospital each day and it took my all to trust her to the care of others but I also knew that I had 3 other girls at home who needed me and a husband who was exhausted physically and emotionally from having to play the role of both parents for too long while I was in the hospital on bedrest.

She is now healthy and growing, adored by her sisters and by my husband and me.

She is the sweetest little thing; I just love to hear her coo and make other cute little sounds.

Her smile makes my day, seriously.

One day Sarah, our 5 year old said, "A baby is the most precious thing," and she is absolutely right.

I love these sweet pictures of Lily and Sarah together.

Created using a mix of cute Bella Blvd. collections.

Have a wonderful day!

another back to school page

I have a quick page to share with you this morning before I head back to bed.

It's been a long week and I am so glad that it is Saturday.

Granted, it's really early on Saturday; I have been up with baby Lily but now she's back in bed and I can go back to sleep.

Today two of my girls have their first soccer games of the season.

Little Aimee is SO excited!

It's been a good week back to school for Hailey and Sarah.

Here is a page I created with pictures of them on the first day of school using papers and embellishments from Bella Blvd. The button is from Doodlebug (they're having a DT call in case any of you are interested. The link for their blog is in my sidebar) and the pearls are from Queen & Company. Bella Blvd. is also having a design team call and you can find their link in my sidebar as well. There's just one more week to apply so hurry!

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

Guess what I just found out?
One of the ladies posted this in the forum at My Scrapbook Nook:

My "First Day of Kindergarten" page that I posted the other day was the featured project at Two Peas!

and another card today

How is your week going so far?

I hope it's a good one for you.

We've kinda been taking it easy since it's our last week together before the girls start school.

Many of you know that there's a design team call out right now for Bella Blvd.

Because of this I decided to take a break from assignments, pull out my Bella stash and create a little card.

This uses the fun Family Dynamix collection, Thickers from American Crafts and some Twinery twine.

Have a great day!
