guest designing for Freckled Fawn

One day I got an email asking me if I would like to guest design for Freckled Fawn using their kit and I said yes! Their monthly embellishment  kits are so cute, and who would turn down free washi and other cute things?

Here are the things I made using their September kit, Oxford:

easy Christmas gift bag

I've been sharing the projects that I created for my guest post for Pebbles Inc.

I will finish off today by sharing a really easy way to dress up a plain kraft gift bag.

I used the Home for Christmas collection from Pebbles Inc.

This cute red and white felt garland was my favorite part of the collection.

Isn't it cute?

Have a great day!

easy Home for Christmas tree ornaments

Handmade ornaments are a fun way to dress up a Christmas tree.

I made these paper ornaments using some Silhouette cut files and the Home for Christmas collection from Pebbles Inc.

These ornaments took just minutes to make. The part that took the longest was cutting them out on my Silhouette Cameo. After that I assembled them and added either twine or gold ribbon.

This star was my favorite.

I hope that you are enjoying this beautiful holiday season.

quick cards for Christmas

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you that I made for my Pebbles Inc guest designer post:

These cards were made quick & easy by using premade embellishments like the cardstock shapes and 4x3 cards. I added a paper doily and some twine, some gold glitter glue accents and that was it!

With as busy as things are this time of year quick and easy is essential for me.

Have a great weekend!

Home for Christmas Pebbles guest designer

Good morning!

I had the privilege of guest designing for Pebbles Inc. this month and have some projects I'd like to share with you.

The first thing I'll share from the projects I created is this layout:

These pictures are from last year's performance of Ballet Lubbock's The Nutcracker. We had a chance to meet a lot of the cast and for the kids to get autographs after the show.

For this page I used the Home For Christmas line from Pebbles Inc. My favorite parts of the collection are the candycane striped Thickers and the fun felt garland.

I will be back to share more projects tomorrow!

guest designing for Scrapbook Circle

Good morning!

I hope that you had a great 4th of July.

We decided to take a last-minute trip out of town since Matt had a day off of work and Sarah didn't have gymnastics team practice. We had lots of fun swimming at the hotel, having pizza delivered too late at night, going to the zoo, to Braum's and then driving around Palo Duro Canyon State Park. It was fun despite the late nights, not very much sleep and thus grumpy kids, and despite losing part of the bottom of the car as we hit a bump going through a water crossing in the canyon.

Last night we were able to watch fireworks with some friends, had snow cones and popcorn and kids got to jump on the trampoline and play and see an amazing neighborhood display. Again we got to bed too late but it was so much fun. We have today to recover from it all before heading back into the regular routine ☺

I was surprised to receive an invitation to guest design for Scrapbook Circle for July and have been having fun creating some layouts for them, the first of which was shared yesterday on their blog.

I will have another project to share soon.

Have a great weekend!

guest designing for My Creative Scrapbook

Good morning!

It's May 5th and that means it's reveal day at My Creative Scrapbook.

I had the chance to guest design for them a while back and am guesting again for this month.

I got to play with the main kit which features papers from Simple Stories and lots of fun embellishments.

Here is a pic of the kit and you can see all of this month's kits by visiting the shop.

I created some layouts, cards and an altered project and will be sharing all of these with you throughout the week.

Today I will share a page with you and a tutorial will follow soon on the MCS blog

Have a great day!

guest designing for Bella Blvd!

Hello!

How is your week going so far?

I enjoyed the time that I had as part of the Bella Blvd design team so of course I said YES! when Laura Vegas asked if I would like to be the "Bella of the Ball" for Bella Blvd's newsletter this month.

I got to create two layouts for the newsletter using two of the brand new collections from this past CHA.

Here they are!

I had fun with some paint on the background of this one ☺ Of all of the papers in the Family Forever collection this diagonally-striped paper was my favorite. I really like the yellow, surprisingly enough!

Here is a close-up shot so that you can see more of the details:

For this next page I got to use the Molly collection:

As a mom of 4 girls this collection was so much fun to work with. I really like the new Candid Cards and added in lots of Designer Tapes under my die-cut base.

That cute little fox was cut from one of the Candid Cards, as was the pink flower.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Guest designer post #1 with Noel Mignon kit club

Hey there!

Can you believe that it is February already?

I sure can't! January flew by so quickly!

This morning I have something fun to share with you- I was asked to guest design for the Noel Mignon kit club for the month of February using the cute "Book of Love" kit. I've had so much fun creating projects and have my first one up on the Noel Mignon blog today.

I decided to do a little tutorial for creating a tissue paper background on a scrapbook page.

Here is the page I made:

You can find out how I made this by heading over to Noel Mignon!

Have a beautiful, happy day!

Take a broom ride over the Cuckoo's Nest!

Hello!

I had the cool opportunity to be the guest designer at Midnight Rooster this month.

Midnight Rooster is a fun kit club where you get a great mix of papers from different manufacturers, coordinating embellishments, handmade notions, fabric, etc. Here is a peek at the beautiful October kit:

My favorite parts of the kit were the cute Studio Calico chipboard alphas, the handmade tags with banners and the little pins. So very cute. You can take a look at the kit, see a full list of contents and and buy one of your own here:  http://midnightrooster.net/kits/

I have been able to create 4 pages and 2 cards so far and I'll share one of those layouts with you today.

First off, these are some pictures that I'd been wanting to scrap for a while, pics of when my Sarah cut off her bangs. We were growing them out so they'd blend in with the rest of her hair and she would walk around holding onto her long bangs and say, "I wish I could just cut these off." Well, one morning right before church she did just that. I didn't even notice until we got to church since things are always crazy busy with us getting ready. We found the scissors and the rest of the evidence in the garbage can in my scrap room. Of course. She KNOWS she's not supposed to be in there. We had a lock on the door, too, but she figured out how to open it. We've since changed the lock and only me and my husband have a key to get in.

The yellow background didn't photograph very well but you get the idea! It's cute paper from American crafts. I also used the handmade tags, the cute Cosmo Cricket buttons, some MME brads and Studio Calico alphas. The little blue alphas are Cosmo Cricket ones from my stash and the twine is from my stash as well. I used my Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies. Oh, and before I started I used some Jenni Bowlin paint daubers in pink and ivory and used some Studio Calico white mist.

Aren't her bangs cute now? Not at all, I know. At least it's just hair and it will eventually grow back and look normal. Thankfully she likes to wear headbands which helps to disguise the funky bangs.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tobi will have a write-up on the Midnight Rooster blog later today and you can check back here for more of my projects as well.

Have a great day!
