sharing a SCT layout and a sneak

I was asked to contribute to the Summer 2014 issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today and since the magazine has been released I'd love to share this layout with you using Pink Paislee's Switchboard collection:

SCT winner and a new page

Good morning!

Is life crazy for you  right now?

With Christmas coming and lots of activities going on life is certainly hectic here.

I guess it never really does slow down, does it?

Here is a page I made quickly with some pictures from Fall and a mix of Pebbles and some We R Memory Keepers cards. The little white/red alphas are October Afternoon.

It probably looks a bit random but sometimes that's just what I need when scrapping: no rules, just grabbing here and there to use up things from my stash hoping it doesn't look too much of a mess when I am done.

the Fall issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today

Hey there!

It is now "officially" Fall and I am excited to share some news!

I got an email a few months back from the talented Becky Fleck, owner of PageMaps and editor of SCT, asking me if I'd like to contribute to the Fall issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. I'd worked with her some in the past on sketch assignments and had submitted to the magazine a few times with no luck. It was a fun surprise to be asked to work on the "Easy, Detailed, Expert" column for the Fall 2013 issue which made its debut this past Friday. You can see it online here. 

My amazingly talented friend, Nicole Nowosad, created this cover layout. Congrats, Nicole!!

The magazine is full of great ideas for all levels of scrapbookers and is available both online and as a print subscription. I feel honored to be included and am excited about the upcoming Scrapbook Planner and Sketch Calendar that I was able to contribute to as well. That will be available for pre-order on October 15 and is full of brand new sketches and layout inspiration. You won't want to miss it!

Created using a mix of Jillibean Soup (loved pulling this paper out again!), October Afternoon (grid paper), American Crafts(cardstock and black Thickers), My Mind's Eye (polka dot washi), Queen & Co.(pearls and red stripe washi), Freckled Fawn (heart & arrow washi).
