Cut & Paste Part 2

Today I have a couple more projects to share with you that I created as part of my Scrap Review assignment to write an article about the My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste collection.

It's a gorgeous collection with a beautiful color palette. The variety of color schemes is as great as My Mind's Eye is typically known for. Check out your local or online scrapbook store to purchase some ♥

Punky Sprouts Hunk mini album

Good morning!

I've been dealing with the flu for the last few days and apologize for my lack of fun things to post. I haven't even had the energy to do any scrapping at all though I have work that I need to get done.

Today, though, I have a mini album review up at The Scrap Review.

I used the mini album along with lots of papers from Lily Bee and Jillibean Soup, stickers and journal spots and tags from Jillibean as well.

sharing some Acorn Ave.

Last week while our internet was out I had an article up at The Scrap Review where I shared some projects using Crate Paper's brand new Acorn Ave. collection. I really enjoyed working with this collection and like the fun mix of colors and patterns. I also really liked the Sassafras feel of the line. I sure miss them!

Here are the projects that I created using that line:

cute Lily girl in the tub- she LOVES taking baths and hates getting out!

and now a layout with pictures of Hailey and Sarah from their first day of school:

I cut the circles on my Silhouette Cameo and filled them with circles I punched with my Fiskars circle punch. The title was done with my Cameo as well. LOVE those Crate woodgrain chipboard alphas.

We R Memory Keepers scallop circle punch

I have a new article up at The Scrap Review today where I feature the new Mini 8 Scallop circle punch by We R Memory Keepers.

I'd never used the WRMK punches before and had never used a corner and border punch made for shaped pages so this was a fun little gadget to try.

The scallop circle ends up looking like a doily so I knew it would be perfect for grounding the photos of my girls at the park about a week ago. Papers and stickers are from Crate Paper except for the aqua Thickers from American Crafts. It felt good to dig into my stash to create this page. 

I even used the leftover pieces as a bit of confetti on the page.

Summer Lovin' and Elle's Studio

My second article is up at The Scrap Review today and for this one I got to play with some really cute tags and stamps from Elle's Studio.

Here is one of the layouts that I made:

I used lots of tags from Elle's, papers from American Crafts (Dear Lizzy Neapolitan and Amy Tangerine Sketchbook), twine from Pick Your Plum, American Crafts Thickers, Jillibean Soup corrugated hearts and Bella Blvd pink chevron tape.

Aren't their products so cute? They were very generous, too, so I have more to use on other pages, cards, etc.

it's Saturday!

Yes, I am so anxious for the weekend- not because we don't get enough play time during the week (the last few days have been pretty relaxed/lazy around here) but because it means that my husband is almost at the end of his week of graveyard shifts. While he's on this schedule we don't get to see him that much and the kids tend to get tired of just me, I think, and by the end of the week I am ready for a break, too.

So, today we are headed to the library, are going to watch LOTS of the Olympics (did you watch the Opening Ceremonies last night?) and I am going to try to put together some shelves for my girls' closet.

For now I have some sneaks to share of some things I've been working on and later today I just might have to play a bit because my first box from American Crafts is set to arrive! To say that I've been watching the updates on the tracking report would be putting it mildly. I can't wait to see what's in the box!

a few things to share today

Wow! It's been a bit of a whirlwind week around here!

I am scrapping like crazy to get projects ready for CHA and while the load seemed daunting at first I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It's a fun thing to be able to participate in but the late nights are catching up with me and I am working hard to make sure that my pages don't start looking the same. Know what I mean? Sometimes when you are scrapping for a long period of time (at least for me) things start to look a little similar.

I am having fun, though, and love the new collections being released by Jillibean Soup and Bella Blvd. I can't wait to show you some sneaks!
