just another manic...Tuesday?

We're having a bit of a rough start to our day at home and yes, I am escaping from it all by sitting at the computer to blog this layout.

It's another that I created a while back for fun and didn't share it.

There is a mix of manufacturers on the page. I think there's some Crate Paper, Basic Grey ♥ along with some Simple Stories and Jillibean Soup. The gold tape is something that I had to put on everything for a while simply because I ♥ it. I got on the gold train a little late but it just gives things a special pop that I really like.

The stars were cut on my Silhouette machine...they'd been sitting around in a pile of things I cut thinking I'd use them right away but didn't. Do you ever do that? I find it easier to cut a bunch of things that would work on a variety of projects and save them for future use.

This page features my two youngest after their swim lesson graduation. They'd been nagging me to get cotton candy and I'd promised them that on their last day of lessons we would get them each their own. Lily's was bigger than her head, ha ha.

 Have a fantastic day!

a couple of quick cards

Good morning!

Today will be a quick post sharing a couple of super quick and easy cards I made using the Simple Stories sticker sheets from the February Noel Mignon Daily Diary kit, So Sweet.

With the crazy schedule we keep some days I just have to make a project fast, and that's what I did this week. I simply used some stickers, a bit of washi a strip of patterned paper and some twine and these cards were done.

What are you creating?

Drop a link and I will take a look. I love to see what others are up to.

sharing some Noel Mignon love

My project for today is a layout that I created with the Noel Mignon kit club February kit:

This kit is a mix of product from Simple Stories, Pebbles, American Crafts, Carta Bella and more. Noel does such a beautiful job of coordinating products from many companies but that go so well together to make any kind of papercrafting project.

My page this week is based off of a February PageMaps sketch by the wonderful Becky Fleck

You can see more details of my page on the Noel Mignon blog today.

another project for Noel Mignon kit club

Hello, it's Thursday and that means I have a new Noel Mignon project to share with y'all!

I actually have two to share but will keep you in suspense on the other one, ha ha.

This was created using the February Noel Mignon Daily Diary kit, Happy Together.

The kit definitely has a very Valentines-y vibe but it's versatile and can be used for everyday projects as well. In this case I used it for a page of my oldest daughter during one of my kids' many shows they've put on for me and my husband over the years. ☺

I used some pocket page cards and lots of heart stickers and chipboard.

I think my favorite part of the page is the paper strip border I made from patterned paper and bits of washi tape.

Have a fantastic day!

happy colors and my sweet girls

Hello!

It's been a whirlwind of activity around here lately and while I've been scrapping some I hadn't gotten to post anything here.

I do have a new page that I put together just for fun using the Simple Stories Carpe Diem collection. I really love the bright, happy colors in this collection and the sweet icons like the cute little cat.

I used the SN@P! Pack for a lot of the embellishments on this page, including the cut out kitty and the colorful hearts. The "hello" is from the Love & Adore collection. I like the black and white photo paired with the bold hues of Carpe Diem.

I did  use some miscellaneous washi tapes (love the gold with the bright colors!) but the rest is from Simple Stories.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fun news to share!

Ok, so I mentioned that I had some fun news to share with you.

Well, that news is that I am back designing for the Noel Mignon kit club!

I love Noel's kits and jumped at the chance to be able to design for her again.

This month I received the "Happy Together" Daily Diary kit and while I tend to do more traditional layouts and other projects than pocket page spreads, I was thrilled to receive this kit after seeing what was going to be included. I'll be sharing my projects created with this kit throughout the month here and at the Noel Mignon blog.

The first project that I created was this layout featuring the Simple Stories Love & Adore collection:

You can read all about how I put this page together at Noel Mignon.

these kids and Simple Stories

Life with four kids can be a little crazy sometimes, a lot crazy other times.

I am, however, grateful for these girls that I have been blessed to have call me mom.

They fill my life with love and laughter, challenges that will hopefully help me to be better, and with so much fun and happiness.

This layout was created using a mix of product from Simple Stories:

As you can see, I love to layer, love to mix textures and love, love, love to use spray mist. I also kinda ♥ that pretty gold tape on this page.

What do you like to do on all of your projects?

I have some other projects that I will be sharing soon, and a fun surprise announcement.

Have a wonderful day!

my three year old fashionista

My youngest is so funny about the clothes she wears.

Being as young as she is you wouldn't think she would care as much but she really does.

She has a flair for combining all things sparkly, pink and fancy. And she loves her boots.

She is so much fun.

One the particular day these pictures are from she had her pink sparkly skirt, pink leotard, little cowgirl vest and her sunglasses. She is such a diva ♥ but I think she's adorable and it's such a fun age that I hurried to grab the camera and take some pictures. She was such a fun little poser.

I made the layout using the South Shore kit from Noel Mignon, and it's full of lots of bright summery colors and patterns. I think the kits are sold out but the paper pack is still available. AND...the September kit is going to be so gorgeous- lots of Pebbles Jen Hadfield, Crate Maggie Holmes, My Mind's Eye and so many other fun things. I can't wait for it to get here.

I used the rainbow-striped paper from Simple Stories for my background and of course added some spray mist. That tends to be one of the things I do on every single page. I either spray the background first or add a few droplets here and there closer to when I finish the page. It is always easier to do it first so that I don't have to worry about getting stray ink on anything else ☺

A Silhouette Cameo cut file and those cute green glitter Thickers from American Crafts finished off the title.

Thanks for stopping by today!

more from Simple Stories and My Creative Scrapbook

Hi there!

It's been a busy day around here today- I help in my kindergartner's class every Wednesday morning, then take my youngest to a Mom & Me gymnastics class, then we had to run some errands to gather things for Teacher Appreciation Week. With 4 kids we have lots of teacher gifts to get ready!

The big reveal at My Creative Scrapbook happened on Monday and I have some more projects to share with you today, this time a bunch of cards:

The main kit at MCS this month features Simple Stories papers and lots of fun embellishments. I will share a couple more layouts that I made as we finish out this week.

guest designing for My Creative Scrapbook

Good morning!

It's May 5th and that means it's reveal day at My Creative Scrapbook.

I had the chance to guest design for them a while back and am guesting again for this month.

I got to play with the main kit which features papers from Simple Stories and lots of fun embellishments.

Here is a pic of the kit and you can see all of this month's kits by visiting the shop.

I created some layouts, cards and an altered project and will be sharing all of these with you throughout the week.

Today I will share a page with you and a tutorial will follow soon on the MCS blog

Have a great day!

more work for My Creative Scrapbook

Hello again!

I am back with another layout that I created using the May kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  The kit features the pretty Vintage Bliss collection from Simple Stories. I LOVED this line!

This sweet girl is growing up too quickly. I can still remember when she was the only one and we would pal around at the park or outlet mall in Boise or countless other places. Times have gotten busier and we have three more kids now. She has become so smart, so beautiful, so talented and responsible. She is in third grade and today she gets to do her Living Museum project at school; she chose to talk about Katelyn Ohashi, and up-and-coming gymnast hoping for the next Summer Olympics.

I cut these flowers from one of the patterned papers. The kit came with some white ribbon that you see here; I decided to cut it and use it as part of the background.

Have a wonderful day!

I have another layout to share with you this morning created with the pretty May kit from My Creative Scrapbook.

We have another busy day ahead with setting up for and having the gymnastics team banquet tonight. Sarah is so excited and it will be fun to celebrate the kids' hard work.

Have a nice weekend!

another page for My Creative Scrapbook

Good morning once again.

I am so glad this week is almost over because I am TIRED!

This time of the year is just so busy that this mama needs a break.

I have another layout to share with you today that I created with the May kit from My Creative Scrapbook:

I cut the word "smile" from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss paper, the "cute" was cut on my Cameo, and the other stickers are from the Vintage Bliss collection. This line is very easy to scrap and worked well to scrap pictures of my girls.

Have a wonderful day!
