A new layout and ribbon flowers

I am a subscriber to the monthly kits from My Scrapbook Nook and am amazed every time with the products that Leah puts together. This month's kit features papers, rub-ons, ribbon and chipboard from the "Ever After" collection by Cosmo Cricket and is paired with rhinestone buttons from Jenni Bowlin and Prima pearls and lace. It is absolutely gorgeous.

I have wanted to do better at the shabby chic style that I see so much of in the scrapbooking world and have finally created a layout in this style that I LOVE. I sat down to scrap and it just all came together so well.

On this layout I tried something that I've wanted to do for a while...ribbon flowers. They are actually quite simple and are fast to make as well. All you need is about 8" of ribbon depending on its width and how fluffy you want the flower to be. Stitch just inside the edge of the ribbon and then gather it into a circle, stitch the two edges together and you are done! That easy.

Aren't they pretty? And, so very quick and easy. I now want to add them to EVERYTHING. Seriously. You just might see more of these in layouts and cards of mine in the future.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Aren't you proud of me for blogging every day?

You always have to out do me in everything huh? Just Kidding Becky. I am not worried since you will get out of the habit of blogging everyday when you go to Disneyland next week. Very nice page and very nice flowers. Once again, I will be taking your idea and making it mine...
