Meeting Snow White

This was by far one of the greatest highlights of our Disneyland trip!! The girls love the princesses but Snow White is Sarah's absolute favorite, she even dressed up as Snow White for this last Halloween. It was amazing how much the "real" people looked like the characters from the Disney movies. Snow White was sweet and approachable with the girls, leaving Hailey and Sarah with a happy glow.

Here is a layout I created with some pictures from that encouter. I used the gorgeous April kit from My Scrapbook Nook featuring new products from Prima and Pink Paislee. This is another example of the paper ruffles I talked about the other day, and I carried out the technique by "ruffling" the lacey trim as well.

The Pink Paislee chipboard alphas that I used for the "Snow White" at the bottom of the page were originally a dark orange-ish color, so I sanded them, went over them with a red marker to bring out more of the red in the layout and then sanded the edges and added some Stickles glitter glue. The Prima flower was originally a lot bigger, but it was a bit too large for this layout so I simply trimmed off the bottom layer and will use that for a future card or layout. I also used a black and brown marker to do a little bit of faux stitching on the papers as well as helping some of the smaller details stand out more.

Thanks for stopping by, and make sure to leave a comment on the giveaway post for a chance to win some ribbon and perhaps a few other little things!

This is beautiful! I love how you turned the orange letters into red letters!

What a great memory!

That IS a very nice page Becky...I have yet to venture into the rounded page design. I might have to try it soon. But what do you do when you put it in your scrapbook if the page behind it TOTALLY clashes with the round page? if you put something behind it, doesn't it take away from the rounded page effect?

I love this layout, the circle is great, as is the use of your kit. I'm excited to see more of your work.

Snow White (and all of the princesses, really) is awesome. Disney is great, for kids AND adults.

Another fabulous layout. You take GREAT photos of your layouts, too. I can't get a good shot of a 12x12 to save my life!
