I got tagged again

Yes, I got tagged. This time it was by my sister, Ellie, who lives in Colorado. We went to visit her and her little family last month and had a great time. We drove all that way and this is how she repays me? Just kidding. It's kinda fun. We'll see if anyone responds to this since most of the people who might read this are my scrapbooking friends that I have "met" online at AC Bailey and other places. Here are the rules anyway:

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember. This can be about me, or any related memory of my family....

2. Next, repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Ok, all 3 readers of my blog (ha ha) please post something here and you will make my day. And maybe later I'll show you some cute recent pictures of my kids.

OK...well, I got tagged from a friend in San Jose but I thought that at least it was a creative way to get people to actually leave a comment instead of just taking a look and not saying ANYTHING!! But anyway...I remember living on Cedar Street when we were younger and racing with you up and down the gravel driveway...It was a lot of fun most of the time, but if you think about it, it probably wasn't the best place to have a race. I also remember that one of the times that we were racing, you slipped (probably on the gravel) and you ended up with a cast on your arm.

OK...I have another one. I don't even know if you even know that this happened or not since I don't ever remember telling anyone. I also don't know why I am remembering it now...so you get another memory...and another comment. You were washing dishes and your hair was up ina ponytail, like it was often when we were home and it was hot...but that doesn't really matter...why am I giving you all of the gorry details??? I think that you were wearing a pink shirt...But ANYWAY...I remember having this HUGE thought that one day you were going to be a great mom...So I don't know why I am remembering that now. Hopefully your kids are not doing all in their power to tell you otherwise, but I think that you are a great mom and I am glad that you have a lot of the same struggles that I have. That way, I feel that I am a pretty good mom too although I often feel inadequate.

Okay...let's see...I remember so many things about each of you that it's almost scary. I'm trying to get a bunch of those into the scrapbook pages, too. You were always "the quiet one" most people thought that knew our family. I knew different - you had your quiet moments, but there were some not so quiet moments. I remember one time in England when you and Alicia were really, really small (I have a photo of this!). You were out on the backyard at our house on Tudor Avenue (Street? Way? I will have to look that one up - I don't remember anymore!), sitting in the grass (looked like it needed a good mowing at the time) and you just started laughing and kicking Alicia. I have a couple of you two and Debbie inside the house on Tudor also and pretty much the same thing's happening. You're just having a good old time and they are looking at you like "What's she doing?"

I remember also when we first heard that you were going on a mission to Bolivia. We were both scared and proud of you at the same time. That is such a long, long way away from all of us. We are so thankful that you served honorably and came back to us, met Matt and all the other good stuff that's happened since. We love you bunches!

Oh my, BeckJune! I really think there are too many to list. I'll give a few just general synopsises, so that you can be reminded of the story without embarrassing you too badly. Okay: All our trips to Yellowstone, especially that one with Rowena, and "molesting the buffalo", all our trips to IF, including the one where we were harmonizing to Shania Twain when Bob decided to die. I have so many memories of Rob Barnes, that it brings a smile to my face just thinking about it. So many of my favorite quotes are favorite quotes because of you. For example: "I want you, I need you, oh baby, oh baby." or "Happiness isn't happiness without a violin playing goat." And last but certainly not least is you doing your Axle Rose impression, while I danced (badly, I might add) in the kitchen. Good times. I could go on, but there's not enough time in the day...
