Today is my husband's birthday. He's 34 today, but I think he feels so much older, funny guy. He had to go to the doctor the other day since he's been having some foot pain and he was disheartened to hear that there was nothing that they could do to "fix" the problem, so he feels like he is falling apart. Silly man. He told me this morning that he was up until midnight last night (he didn't get home from work until 10:30)and had a mini pity party for himself, a small mid-life crisis he called it. I think he's being a little dramatic, but "it's his party and he'll cry if he wants to," right? So, I'll indulge him a little bit and make sure he has a fun day.
We went to Cracker Barrel this morning for breakfast with his family and he just got back from buying himself a new lawnmower for his birthday! So far it's been a good day for him. We'll have cake and ice cream later and whatever we decide to do since he has the day off of work.
Matt, I love you, and know that you don't often read this blog, but I hope you'll read it today. You are a wonderful husband and father, you encourage my scrapbooking and other addictions (mainly just scrapbooking, but also chocolate)and is perfect for me, patient with my grumpy days, willing to take care of the kids when I need a break.
So, Matthew Wayne, happy birthday to you. I hope it's a wonderful day.
