a few pics from yesterday

Oh boy was yesterday quite a day!!!

Most of it was good but some was a little crazy, as is to be expected in a house with three girls aged 5 and under. At least I like to think it's normal. It is, right?

First let me share with you some funny pictures of Aimee. I told them that if they did a good job with their lunch they could have a treat from their Halloween buckets. Well, they didn't do such a good job and all Aimee wanted was the candy. You can tell from the picture what happened next and whether or not she got her treat.

I know, I'm such a mean mom but I don't want her to learn that she can get whatever she wants if she throws a tantrum and screams her little head off. Do you think that was the right thing to do? It's not like she's deprived in any way.

And for some fun stuff, some time when no one got mad, no one threw a fit, everyone was happy and having a great time. And, the pizza was so yummy!!! I let the girls do it all themselves- from spreading the sauce, adding the cheese and pepperoni and chicken and things. You'll notice that the whole top of Sarah's pizza was covered in pepperoni. Mind you that's about all she ate from the whole pizza.

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Oh, it was definetly the right thing to do! You have to withstand a few tantrums but that's gonna prevent plenty of little ones for the years to come.

good mom, for sure. it's like i always say at the grocery store, at the register when your kids are tired and having a meltdown because they wand candy... sometimes you have to look like a bad mom to be a good mom.
way to go!! these little lessons will teach them young so they don't have to learn 'delayed gratification' later when the stakes are higher.

and, love the yummy homemade pizza's, and the dress-up clothes.

good mom for sure!

I always feel like I am such a bad mom when my kids have a melt down...we are going thru one right now as a matter of fact. But it is not like they are deprived of everything either. Sometimes I wish that I can be the kid...just for one day and get everything that that I demand just because I am cute and have to have my way all of the time....sorry. I am a little frusterated right now. But the pics are cute. I love that you captured Aimee's pure sorrow about the loss of candy.
