This page was made using the gorgeous November kit from My Scrapbook Nook featuring Lily Bee's Audrey line. I used some of the pretty Prima add-on flowers, some pearly bling from my stash and a journal spot from Jillibean Soup. Oh, that black velvet branch and the brown leaves are also Prima.
Next up is my take on the Color Me Daisy sketch by Julie Bonner that I posted here yesterday. I kept to the same basic design of the papers but switched things up a little bit with the pictures and journaling. Everything here with the exception of the orange embroidery floss, the twine and the little orange bling on the flower (in the title) is from the cute cute kit from Color Me Daisy. Aren't those Dreamstreet Sam papers so cute? Also used: American Crafts brown Thickers, Maya Road trim, My Little Yellow Bicycle transparency and DS Sam rub-ons. I love that Michelle adds fabric to the kits- it is such a fun, simple little thing that adds lots of texture to a project, don't you think?
I'm thinking I really need to do more stitching on my pages. It's something that I love to do but my sewing machine doesn't like to cooperate very often. Perhaps more hand stitch work is in my future.
Last up today is a simple little card that I made using paper, rub-ons and ribbon from American Crafts as well as my Apron Lace border punch from Fiskars. Simple. Quick. Easy.
So, there you have it. A few new projects shared and hopefully more coming up in the next few days if I get a chance to do some more scrapping.
I've been organizing kids' rooms today, moving Hailey's bed into Sarah's room- yes, we're going to try having them share a room again- wish us luck! So far they're going to sleep in a reasonable amount of time and they like being together. They were so lonely in their own rooms that they'd just end up downstairs on our bedroom floor but since we put them together in the same room they've slept in their room all night!
I'd also like to get some other toys and things moved into what was Hailey's room- they have their dress-up clothes in there as well as books and dolls but I'm going to move some other things into there to move some clutter out of the family room upstairs. It's a big job but I always feel a great sense of satisfaction when the job is done.
If only it would stay clean for a while, huh?
