it's snowing!!

For those of you who lives where you get a substantial amount of snow every year this is no big deal.

Here where we live in west Texas it's a BIG deal. Everything is bigger in Texas, right?

So, it's a BIG deal. We don't hardly ever get snow and when we do it's gone the same day.

It was fun to take Hailey to school this morning and watch moms with their cell phones taking pictures of their kids out in the snow. It was fun to watch the kids walk to the building with their mouths wide open trying to taste the snowflakes. It was fun to take my own two youngest girls outside in the backyard for a few minutes so that they could enjoy the wonder of snow.

...Even if I'll be chastised for the rest of the day by my husband for doing so. (Aimee has a cold, Sarah has an upset stomach. I think they'll be okay...)

So, I enjoyed it. Sarah did a snow angel, we threw tiny balls of snow at each other, we made the teeniest, tiniest snow man and had fun in the fluffy white snow.

I'm so glad that we did because it's not snowing anymore. I knew it wouldn't last.

Right now it's raining and washing away our beautiful white snow.

But, we have a few pics, the girls are still talking about it and we enjoyed the snow while it lasted.

What a happy time it was to play in the snow with my girls.

I am impressed you got a snowman out of that snow. I had to go grocery shopping after dropping Ryan off. When we came out the snow had stopped. Abigail was sad.

Those are really cute pictures...even if you can tell that Sarah isn't feeling well. I also think that it is funny that things shut down with that much snow. The roads aren't even dangerous yet...lol. Feel free to come and play in our snow sometime. We get a little more than that.

That's crazy that it's snowing in Lubbock and not New England! I'm sure we have plenty coming this winter. Maybe I'll send some your way. :)
