sharing some American Crafts love

Back in my early scrapbooking days some of my first papers were from American Crafts. I loved the colorful graphic prints and while I was somewhat intimidated by some of the papers I continued to buy them and add to my ever-growing stash. I have continued to love American Crafts and have enjoyed watching it evolve into what it is today. They are still one of my favorite companies, and while I am STILL sometimes not sure what to do with some of the papers I am loving their recent releases and find myself using them more and more. I have more packages of Thickers than should be legal ♥ and love the dimensional embellishments and journal spots and Flair and the rub-ons are some of my very favorites. The Dear Lizzy collaboration was made just for me and it's become one of my preferred lines to scrap. How can you not love the little crocheted flowers and the ribbon rose trim? LOVE it.

Here with this layout I've combined some of the Dear Lizzy line with "I Do" and "Botanique" as well as a bit of Merryment and Blue Skies. It was fun to combine elements of so many different collections yet still have them work together so perfectly.

and a couple of detail shots:

I used some scraps of the rose paper for the little butterfly (Martha Stewart punch) and some Thickers dots for the center. The border punches are all EK Success.

This page shows off my style- lots of layering and inking/doodling along with handcut work and fun embellishments. I love how well the different AC lines mix so well together.
