how about some new My Little Shoebox?

The brand new collections from My Little Shoebox are their best yet, I think.

The colors are bright and fun and the patterns are so cute!

Here's a look at a card that I created using some of the new Playtime collection and some foam adhesive and Thickers from American Crafts, twine from the Twinery.

Come back for another peek at some of the new stuff and I'll also be doing a giveaway this week- one lucky person will win a bunch of the great new MLS product! How does that sound?

finally something new to share

Hello!

The last few days I've taken a break from design team assignments and created some things just for fun.

Here's a layout I created using a mix of My Mind's Eye, Jillibean Soup, Studio Calico, American Crafts, Pink Paislee and Pebbles. I think it's fun to break out my stash once in a while and create something where I can mix and match whatever I want. It's a bit scrambled but I kinda like it.

This little onesie is something that I found in someone's Etsy shop- I thought it was way too cute to pass up since it says, "Adorable baby" and it was accompanied by a shirt for my husband that says "I make adorable babies." He was a little shy about posing in his shirt but here's little Lily.

Have a great weekend!

I really NEED to do some scrapping...well, I have been but most of it was for assignments once again and I have to wait to share so here are a couple sneaks of what's to come for American Crafts:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I am trying to make some changes to my blog and for now it's a bit of a mess.

I will get things cleaned up as quickly as I can.

a Jillibean card and an MLS page

Good morning!

It's 3 in the morning and I am up with the baby so this will be quick so that I can get back to sleep.

Here's a card I made recently using Dutch Mustard Soup from Jillibean Soup:

And, a layout using Garden Party from My Little Shoebox and some Imaginisce goodies we got to play with in a recent swap:

Have a great day!

we're back and a Jillibean Soup page

We had a wonderful time on our trip to the Houston area to visit some of our family there.

The kids had a lot of fun playing together and it was nice to spend some time catching up. We went to the beach in Galveston, went to the Blue Bell ice cream factory, went swimming and to the park and had a great time. I'll have to post some pictures of our trip later on.

I just hope that I didn't bring home too much of the beach in my camera. I am a bit anxious about it.

I wanted to share a page that I created for Jillibean Soup that was up on their blog the other day:

As you can see, this is Lily at one month. Believe it or not she is almost 3 months old now.
I have some scrappy work to catch up on!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

he sure loves this baby girl

Some people ask us if we're going to try for a boy since we have four daughters.

We always tell them that we love our girls and that we wouldn't have it any other way.

Plus, I think we're done.

I've had too many complications during my pregnancies for us to have any more.

My husband loves his girls.

Layout created using American Crafts Peachy Keen and The Classics papers with a mix of embellishments.

Have a great day!

Bluebird Chic giveaway winner!

Thank you to those who checked out Leah's store.

I wish her the best of luck in this endeavor.

I used random.org to choose a winner and got lucky #1 which is: Amanda Johnson!!!

Amanda, please send an email with your mailing address to mattandbeckywilliams at yahoo dot com.

Congrats!

some more love for American Crafts

As my paper collection in my craft room can attest, I have been a fan of American Crafts from the beginning; I still have some paper from the earliest collection and have for a long time loved the cheerful patterns created by American Crafts.

Here is a card that I created using some of the new Margarita collection:

And here is a layout that I created using a mix of Confetti, City Park and Margarita:

The journaling block on this one is actually one of the Just Write postcards and I cut it to fit in that spot and added the little blue triangle rub-ons. The thin papers on the bottom of the page are actually the tearstrips from the patterned paper- I LOVE to use these so much.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Later today I'll reveal the winner of the giveaway from last week.

I thought I'd posted this here already but I guess not

Hello!

Remember me?

I know that my "real" posts where I share something I have made have been few and far between and I've been busy with CHA work and other assignments, taking care of the kids, etc. so I thought I'd already shared this layout with you but I guess not!

Here's a page I made for American Crafts using the cute Peachy Keen line:

Have a great night!

bluebird chic giveaway

I love that more and more people are getting back into making things the good ol' fashioned way.

I love that Etsy shops are such a big hit in our society of quick fixes, microwaved meals and quick and easy anything we can get our hands on.

I LOVE that my friend, Leah Farquharson, has set up a shop of her own to sell her handmade goods.

I met Leah a few years ago while we were both part of a design team of an old scrapbook kit club. She amazed me back then and continues to amaze and inspire me today. I know that it was advice and encouragement that I received from her that helped me to get where I am today in the scrapping world. You might already be familiar with her scrappy work as well and now she's started up a new Etsy shop called Bluebird Chic.

If you know anything about Leah you know that her work is top-notch- whether it be her scrapbooking, her digital designs, her cooking (it makes me so hungry to read about things on her blog!) or crafty things made from scratch (she sent me a set of crocheted pumpkins last fall after I told her I loved ones she made and showed on her blog). She takes pride in the work she creates and does so beautifully.

I am so excited for her and this new adventure and just know that you will ♥love♥ her stuff.

Everything is hand-sewn, high quality work. She is someone I can definitely believe in and whose work I can stand behind with no reservations. This Dupioni silk rosette ring comes in a variety of colors and more items will be added to the store in the future. Just take a look here.  Pretty cute, aren't they?

The rings are adjustable so they're perfect for you or your little girls who will surely love one, too. I know that I will have to hide mine if I am going to get to wear it at all. My girls just LOVE this kind of thing.

As a way to spread the word about Bluebird Chic Leah has asked some of her friends to do a little giveaway on our blogs. Isn't that so fun?!  YOU can win one of these cute rings in the color of your choice. I chose the black one but think they're all adorable.

So how can you win one of these little rings? Simply go check out her store and if you like what you see, go "like" her Facebook fan page so that you can keep up on all of the new goings on at Bluebird Chic. Check out her store and tell me which color is your favorite. I will keep this drawing open until Friday night and then on Saturday I'll choose a lucky winner who will get the ring of their choice as a thank you for helping to spread the word about Leah's new store.

You can also keep up with her on her new Bluebird Chic blog.

Thanks so much!

Check back on Saturday to see if you are the lucky winner.

Happy Monday to all of you. I hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend.

Here's a quick post before I head back to bed since I've been up way too long with the baby.

It is hard to believe that she'll be 7 next month.

Wow.
